What are you doing right now?

Welcome back, Lynxie! Glad to hear everything’s ok. Ocelli and I were starting to worry a bit when he hadn’t heard from you in a while.

Right now, I’m bummed because Memorial Day weekend is such a blackout for retail. :frowning: I was hoping to go to Balti-Con and meet Jody Lynn Nye in person.

Ah well, here’s hoping Shore Leave will be something to look forward to.

what’s your band name called.

Well, I hope Memorial Day weekend will go well good for ya :D. I Don’t mean to be rude, but Memorial Day is my birthday. So, I am looking forward to this weekend. I can’t believe I am turing 20 jebus.

Spent some time at Balticon, but the friend I was supposed to meet at the Game Room no-showed. It’s not nearly half as fun when you’re at a place like that yourself and there’s no one to hang with. :frowning:

On the other hand, just last night I found out that someone had made some patches and fixes to get one of my favorite old Star Trek games playable again: Klingon Academy! At of fans consider it to be one of the best Trek games and starship combat simulators ever made. It was originally made and published by Interplay in 2000. But there have been issues that have kept it from being playable on operating systems after Windows 98 and on multi-core computers. Now someone finally has come along and made some much-needed fixes. I tried them out last night and they work perfectly!

The game is set just prior to the events of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and features very well done full-motion video segments starring Christopher Plummer and David Warner reprising their roles as General Chang and Chancellor Gorkon, respectively (Thundercats’ own Kevin Michael Richardson has a voice role as well).

Here’s a video of the trailer that accompanied the original release of the game…

Another Star Trek game I rediscovered thanks to some mods was Star Trek Legacy. This one was more recent, but got lukewarm reception. Still, it was decent starship combat game, albeit not quite as deep or as tactical as Klingon Academy. But it’s still good.

Anyway, a site called Chris Jones Gaming made a mod called “The Ultimate Universe” which adds some graphical enhancements, a freeform exploration mode and a boatload of new ship designs among other things. A subsequent pack also added ships from the J.J. Abrams Star Trek movie as well. Really improves the original game.

Here’s some footage from the mod of a battle between the Abrams-verse Enterprise and an Excelsior-class cruiser.

I’m avoiding sleep…

Have a great one and the next will be even better.

I just cheered myself by getting a new Doctor Who DVD and gaming mouse from Amazon.

Sat in my room retouching

I want to punch the wall! My husband is being a complete jerk and it’s taking the grace of God to keep my temper under control.

Well, i am just about to go get a good haircut!!

Watching ‘The Incredibles’ while feeding my pet frog Atilla.. and typing this…multi-tasking indeed…

That’s on my list for tomorrow; it’s starting to get too hot and my hair’s getting scraggly.

What am I doing right now? I’m finally feeling happy! *smiles

Yep;) a year ago in May i was in the army and due to the hot weather and conditions there i had to shave my hair off:cool: Well, now i like them grown and from time to time a little trimming is good:D

I retract this post.

My past is catching up with me, NEVER AGAIN!

Look up the lyrics

I’m enjoying another day off and shopping online for a replacement uniform shirt.

I’m studying today and tonight. And for the next two months. Business as usual…

Studying for finals and listening to epic music “Two steps From hell”. For some reason I study better when I have this music on. EPIC STUDYING D:< !

Guys, I’m not going to be online for a while. Soon as my doctor’s office opens today, I need to go back to the hospital and get committed for my depression. I need help and this depression is so bad to the point my husband said he hasn’t seen me like this in years. Saturday night I just lost it, everything was fine until the evening and like a light switch, I began punching objects, I punched a window to the point I should have had stitches, I broke the living room computer monitor, I tried to overdose on my medication. I’m lucky I woke up, but I woke up 30 minutes ago. I’ve been in bed sleeping over 24 hours. I haven’t eaten since Friday, I’ve been losing weight because I don’t eat when I’m depressed. I have lost nearly 20 pounds in less than four weeks. The anxiety attacks are just so overwhelming where I can’t handle it anymore.

Please say a prayer for me so I can get better.

Lynxana i am very concerned after reading your post, you need the support of your family. Sometimes we overstate situations when things are much simpler and not so complex or difficult to solve. Try to locate the reason you are mentally hurting and sort it out calmly. Help from the doctors would alleviate your pain faster. Please be strong and everything will pass.My prayers are with you.

wow thats defenitly not a great position to be in, and i hope you get better soon with the help that you need
