Fleas are one thing you want to get rid of FAST. An adult flea can lay over 300+ eggs a day…that’s alot of buggies.
sigh I wanted to study for today’s law exam but getting my kids ready for school was keeping me busy. Then every time I try to study, Lynxie’s kittens have decided that my feet are new toys that move when they claw, climb on and bite them LOL
Those kittens are four weeks old and have reached maximum cuteness, you haven’t lived till you see five fluffy fur balls chase after you so you pick them up and play with them.
Ocelli and I got the new carpet put in yesterday!
So far it’s great, and the cats seem to like it too. They haven’t marked it or anything (though that bottle of synthetic hormone we sprayed around might also have something to do with it!;))
We packed away as much as we could Tuesday, throwing out some stuff we no longer wanted or needed in the process, and I spent much of Wednesday tearing out the old carpet. I had no idea what the extent of the damage was until I had done that. Before the cats were neutered, they had peed in several places, and those sections when I tore them out really smelled like a zoo! It’s a wonder we never got infections walking over them! I later came in with a bucket of bleach and water and scrubbed the hell out of those areas of the concrete.
I was exhausted yesterday. I was so sore I could hardly move a muscle, and I was so out of it that I couldn’t focus. So I had to call out of work that day. But at least I was there in time to oversee the carpet being put in. I took a much-needed nap that afternoon, and got up later that evening to set up the TV, game consoles and computer so we could at least get back online.
So I’m happy now that the place is once again fit for human habitation, and it no longer smells like the zoo’s lion house or a meth lab! We can’t wait to have visitors again, as for the past couple years we’ve been too embarrassed to have any.
I’m so excited! And I just can’t hide it! I just became an aunt and I think I like it! 
This is going to make Christmas shopping fun for awhile.

No ugly sweaters or clothes with cartoon characters on them when she becomes a teenager from me! 
Well, I’m hoping to be that too. I plan on being the one to take her to get her first tattoo. And also the one to take her to a Metallica concert…provided they’re still touring by then. (I’m kind of hoping they’ll be like the Rolling Stones. i.e.; touring 'till they die!)
I was in Toys R Us looking around and saw all this Justin Bieber stuff and thought - by the time she gets to be a teenager, she’ll probably have never heard of him. I’m thinking more I’ll be the one she can tell all the things she can’t tell her mom. Hoping that won’t bite me in the butt.

Relaxing at home after having spent the day at the hospital. I was suffering from intense pain in my lower right abdomen. Turned out I had a kidney stone!
OMG Ouch! If you have Facebook, PM me and I’ll tell you my real name so we can add eachother. Sorry to hear you went through that much pain. I heard it’s much worse for a guy than a girl.
Yes and thankfully we have a great neighbor who was willing to drive him to the pharmacy to pick up his prescription. With any luck, this will completely pass by this time tomorrow.
I hope you feel better soon. I’ve been told that kidney stones are excruciatingly painful.

Well I’ve started a serious treatment program for my pets fleas. Forget the store bought powder. My elderly cat has clearly lost weight and she’s been throwing up big hairballs almost every other day and has been acting abnormal these past couple of days especially. So I took her to the vet today to get checked out. When I picked her up as I was getting ready to leave, I saw probably 4-5 fleas on her belly. The vet thinks her problems are flea related. They injected her with something to help with the itching and they applied a topical treatment that absorbs into the skin. I also came home with treatments for my kitten and my dog. I think the fleas came with the kitten when I brought him home in September, it’s just now being fully realized. I haven’t noticed a flea problem with my dog but I figure all pets need to be treated. Last thing I need is for them to jump off the cats and onto the dog.

I’m getting ready to wrap and mail presents to my relatives in Williamsburg.
I am attempting to relax, but I seem to be one of those people that just paces in her cage.
