Or, maybe the kittens made some mischief against that man (or stole something from him or something like that) and he was chasing them to kill them, and Lion-O went to their rescue. He then learnt the truth (that the kittens did something wrong) and decided to give them a chance to redeem themselves.
From the trailer, I think that happens while Lion-O is supposed to be undercover, and then the kittens let him, Tygra, and Cheetara stay at their place and help them out.
Are you guessing he goes undercover? I didn’t pick that up watching the trailers.
It’s because he’s cloaked when he kicks that short guy in the trailer. That also makes me think the short guy could be some sort of assassin, but I doubt it.
I think Lion-O has to, for whatever reason, go to the shady part of town, where he meets the kittens and that guy. My guess is that he’s suspicious of Grune and following him.
I’ve always watched the trailers on my cell phone since they download faster on it than on my pc. Just watched the no-talking version on my pc. Wow, what a difference size makes! Able to see much more details including that scene where Lion-O is hooded and kicks that little guy wielding a knife.
The trailer leaves me with all sorts of curiosity. I find it curious to see Lion-O and Claudus in a sword battle with each other. I find it even more curious to see an arena with some weird plant thing in the middle and thousands of Thunderians watching Lion-0 and Tygra battle it out. What’s that about? Is that the anointment trial for Lion-O in this new series? If Tygra won, would that mean Tygra could assume the title of Lord of the ThunderCats? Hmm…

Probably. Amazing the bulk difference between father and son. Claudus looks a lot like the original Lion-O to me. I wonder if Claudus will die or if he’ll be blinded. In the original he was blinded and stayed behind to die.
So I’ve come up with a new theory regarding the silent trailer where we see Lion-O walking the streets in a hooded cloak and kicks that little guy in the face who was charing him with a dagger.
My theory is that Lion-O has learned about this lower class of Thunderians and hits the streets to find out if what he’s heard is true. I’ll bet he meets the Thunderkittens then and makes friends with them.
