It could be any number of reasons.
Well Brian sounded like he wants to get this resolved as quickly as possible.
Come to think of it, I think they would have taken issue with Mattel also, but like I said, I donāt think itās that and like you said, we can only speculate. On the grand scale, I donāt mind either and I would not have minded at all if they hadnāt said they were announcing it on two occasions. That sort of thing can cause unrest within the fanbase and it isnāt nice when you get your hopes up, you wait and then youāre let down. Donāt forget that the wave 5 announcement is already late due to the other delays. Itās been ready to go for ages according to Super7, so whatever this issue is, why was it not already sorted by now? We donāt want to have further delays but that seems inevitable at this point.
Yes, great that WB have invented one for this wave.
I donāt doubt that for a second. If youāre Brian, of course youāre going to want it resolved. If WB is delaying the announcement and pre-order then thatās bad news for Super7 as well as us. Super7 will want to keep fans excited in order for the toyline to thrive because if all their toylines thrive, they thrive. I donāt believe that Super7 let us down deliberately. Perhaps sometimes they are partly culpable and could have handled things better but I donāt think letting the fanbase down has ever been intentional because from a business point of view, it would make no sense. I donāt have an issue with Brian Flynn or Super7 as a company. Things have happened that Iām not too happy about but there are often many unfortunate factors that come into play. I do wish that things had run more smoothly because they are doing cool stuff and they have a lot of cool stuff in the pipeline.
Maybe this is wishful thinking, but could one of the figures be something like Lynxana where the rights are a little less clear than they are for the cartoon? Just a thought!
That would be amazing if that was the case.
Possibly. That would be a surprise seeing as itās quite early in the toyline and the character isnāt as well known. Pyron is a character who I think has a great design but he isnāt someone Iām expecting as he didnāt appear until the last episode. Having said that, heās still a possibility.
Super 7 should have gotten approval before announcing they were going to be doing the reveal.
Iām wondering if this means Vultureman is indeed in this waveā¦if you remember, the Loyal Subjects line had to change his name to Henchman so there is a copyright issue or something with the name Vultureman⦠just thinking ā¦
Exactly. There has been plenty of time. Theyāve been telling us that wave 5 is ready to go for ages now.
Why? I never knew that. Where else does the name Vultureman name exist? If you are right, how could it have been unforeseen?
Could also be something like Stinger too. Who knows?
Good call. That seems the most likely reason!
Maybe. Though I was never fussed on that figure and it wasnāt in the show.
It could be but I still donāt know why. Itās not something that I was aware of.
Could be due to Marvel comics character Vulture?
That would be ridiculous if it were true.
Lol. Iāve heard of some crazy ones. In Evansville IN there was a burger place called Maidens who got a cease and desist from the band Iron Maiden so they changed their name to Damsels. To me, that was ridiculous. So itās not a stretch for Marvel to do the same.
Thatās nuts. I guess itās not much of a stretch then but what I donāt get is how theyāre able to do it when it isnāt the exact same name. To me, they donāt have a case. Must have very good lawyers.
