There was a reply to the original post at the top of page 85, but the original veebs post is all the way back on page 77, post mirror lion-o, pre-initial wave 5 reveal. So I may have taken it a little out of context given what I assumed the timing was. However, he says lion-o isn’t taking anyone’s spot. No surprising reveal as teased is driving speculation that the fourth figure in the wave was the source of the WB hold up, which reportedly has been resolved, but still no fourth/fifth figure. All convoluted speculation at this point.
Vultureman should be in his normal form, not his super powered form.

Your right. I remember Mumm-ra dipped them in thundranium and they turned colors.
By that logic we can just say that all the Thundercats are too short because they’re from the Wolfrat episode.
Yeah, when I suggested this might have been what happened, I wasn’t trying to rationalize it. If that episode was used to inform his scale, it’s a mistake. But it could be an explanation, as opposed to just a random choice.
I also don’t know how much stock we should put in that composite photo showing their relative scales, since it’s not real. I’m going to reserve judgement until I see them side by side on that table Brian likes to sit at.

I don’t mind the extra height in the Vultureman figure. I think we need to pick our battles or else Vultureman will be added to the mystery wave with cheetara and all the other figures that we “convinced” super 7 to retool. We can’t complain too much about the figures then complain they are taking to long to be released while they are making our requested changes (right?).
I am personally more concerned about something totally different.
Did anyone else notice that the price of this wave is $40 higher than the previous waves (ya, ya wave 2 is more, blah, blah).
Other than covid-19 related excuses why the F@k are the prices getting so high?
$55 USD each plus tax and shipping is almost $100 CAD a figure.

I don’t think that the image is all four figures lined up side by side I think they are Individual images of each figure that are super imposed into one shot to show off the figure wave and that might be why Vulture man looks off.

I can’t see Brian having the Horsemen sculpt Vulture man to be larger than the other three mutants. The super power potion is just one of his many accessories.

Right now these are simply sculpted painted Prototypes The steel molds probably are not even cut yet. It’s good to voice constructive Criticism because Brian once said fans might see something they missed. As long as we are polite in how we ask a question or bring up what we see that looks off I think Brian & super7 are fine with that. It’s the bitching and negative nitpicking of not final product that they take offence to.
The scale of the sculpt is flexible, they can scale it however they please. Traditionally figures are sculpted twice the size of the production piece, but i imagine that’s changed with digital rendering.
Vultureman’s potion accessory makes sense for the scale. Just like panthro’s empty laundry detergent bottle makes sense for him wearing different undies, lion-o’s colostomy bag accessory for his missing abdomen, and cheetara’s drug paraphernalia for her hit up face. Obviously.
I just don’t believe anything about vultureman is going to change, I just have to come to peace with it. Potion. Good. Done. Thank you for the suggestion.
Well I bend Jackalman’s knees to shorten his height AND follow the cartoon pose, so maybe if we bend Vultureman’s knees and waist we get the same height and cartoon pose.
I was thinking this too, but I think when Vultureman’s knees are bent he is standing on his toes/balls of his feet, so without toe articulation it won’t be quite right, but maybe it’s passable, especially if other figures are in front of him.
The model sheet says that his height is the same as Jackalman, in addition the claw comes out of the heel and not from the middle of the leg like the Super7 sculpt.

There’s a video up. It looks like Vultureman is taller.
Vultureman is the same height as Red Lion-O & Bengali. Also Remember these are just the prototypes there are not yet working action figure toys.
I like that they already seem to have corrected the coloring on hammer hands crotch section to match his pants.

Yup the line is chugging along nicely. Wave 6 hopefully will be shown at Toy Fair.
Only Kit, Kat & snarf remain of the original team which gives Super7 plenty of room for other characters in future waves.

That Red Lion-O comes with a lot of accessories you could use on regular Lion-O.
Fist claw shield. Grappling claw shield. Fist hands. New alternate head.
I was originally only going to get one of each character and he’s technically another Mumm-ra. I also avoid single episode characters.
Still, his accessories would be nice to use on the regular Lion-O.

I hope that Wave 6 gets shown at Toy Fair. Is it still in Feb? I don’t remember. If it is, then the timing would be good too. By then I bet Wave 2 has come out already, so teasing W6 there would be a good call. Also, even if it doesn’t go on preorder that same month, it will be fine since we had that with W3 not that long ago - it went up for preorder only in April after being shown off in Feb.
Oh, and why do people tend to forget Snarfer??? (NOT looking at you mjw41, just a general observation). He is very important too :snarf
