Totally agree about Lynx-O’s growl face. Super 7, if you’re reading this please watch/re-watch classic episodes and pick an actual expression made by the characters or don’t do an alternate head at all.
The quality of the alternate heads for Pumyra and Lynx-O are especially bad. They look like sloppy hap-hazard afterthoughts and come across as an insincere effort for the sake of having an alternate head. Thank you for what you’ve done so far, but please reconsider the approach for these and future characters.
What also needs addressing is Lynx-O’s top lip. He’s supposed to have a cat-like top lip. From the pics shown it doesn’t look like he has that slit down the middle.
I actually don’t mind the snarling faces whether they were snarling in the show or not. These are ThunderCats - they are allowed to snarl if they want.
True. What I mean to say though is that if I could walk into any Wal-Mart and get them off the shelf for say, $10 bucks, I’d have nothing to say about it. But the fact that these are supposed to be premium figures with a premium price tag, my expectations are higher. I expect premium quality.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy they’re producing these, I’m just not excited. That being said, perhaps it’s just me and I’m asking for too much.
I think we have to remember this is not meant to be an animation perfect line. No point in starting that midway. I get what you’re saying though in that animation accurate was probably the way to go from the beginning, but that ship has sailed for now.
You know the more I think about it I bet Brian & Super7 do make Ratilla simply because like Pumm-Ra he is a character that never was made as a toy. It would also be a way to include The young Jaga head as an accessory along with the Treasure of Thundeara Chest.

The ratilla will come, its just a matter of when. I love idea of a young Jaga, but I would prefer a special figure for him too (personally). I think the perfect accessory for Ratilla besides the sword of plundar is an empty treasure of thundera chest. That way the other figures that come with the treasures throughout the line up can slowly fill the chest.
Its a perfect because the only time we are actually introduced to Ratilla is all about the treasure.

Me too, I know I messaged both Brian and Cornboy about this and go no reply. I saw lots of questions on Super7’s FB page asking where Lynx-o’s Braille Board was. Now I understand why they were quiet, they were adding an accessory he wasn’t originally coming with and they were quietly working on it.
I think they will too, as well as Bezerkers. There may still be a few other characters who come first, due to them appearing in the show earlier on but you never know. I think the line will run long enough to get those characters but they need to get a move on. I’m starting to wonder if further down the line they might do waves of four villains because after the cats and their few allies, what other good guys do you have that would make good figures? There are a lot more villains to go at who will make good action figures. Imagine Pyron, I think he’d look great but I won’t be expecting him any time soon.
I made a list of characters the other day of popular unmade characters and ljn toys. We basically have Hachiman, Bengali, Snarf, Tuska Warrior, the 3x Berbils and the twins left. The rest are all baddies from LJN! So I do see them possibly releasing waves with one good guy and 3 bad guys. Or if they want to keep it to 2/2, we’d start seeing the likes of Claudus, Jagara, Mandora, Willa etc a lot sooner.
Oh wow, I hadn’t thought of this. Even beyond LJN’s releases, where the Berserkers throw off the balance, the Lunatacks (who I assume Super7 will want to start dipping into soonish) will mean that major baddies really outnumber major good guys. So yeah, keep it 2-2 and bring on the minor good guys!
I will say, I hope they hold on Tuska Warrior for a while, or give us Turmagar instead. But even then, there are so many other minor good guys I’d rather have first.
I think that Turmagar would be a much better first release. The fact that the generic Tuska Warrior might be kept back as an army builder later could make that figure more desireable. I also want 2/2 so lets bring some unmade characters to to front. I’m hoping we get Claudus next!
I’d like to see Claudus too. Though I’m also keen on the idea of an Ultimates Hachiman but I’m pretty sure Bengali will be one of the good guys in wave 5. I don’t know about you but I really like the idea of an Ultimates Mongor. I think he’d look awesome. I don’t know how popular the character is but to me, he’s one of the most sinister in the show. He’s almost like an animated version of Satan himself which makes him the ultimate villain despite only appearing once. He’s one of my favourites so I hope to see him soon. I have the LJN version but I just don’t think that version portrays the character that well, not scary enough but I understand, being that it was a toyline for kids. In this instance, I believe that Super7 have an opportunity to make him look a lot more sinister and demonic. I think it would also be good to give him a bit more height than some of the other figures too.
Yes please! Mongor is iconic. I want them to make a mini version as an accessory too with his release. I agree that he will finally be more evil looking.
I also think Bengali will be next. But he and Vultureman may just be too obvious?!?!
Possibly, if that is the case then bring on Ratar-O. I’d love to see him get the Ultimates treatment and he’ll be a good addition to the mutants. He’s arguably a more exciting prospect than Vultureman. I think Bengali will be there but I’d like the other 3 to be Hachiman, Mongor and Ratar-O. Then hopefully Claudus and Vultureman in wave 6.
