My personal hypothesis is that they are lackadaisical in their relationship with whomever is manufacturing the run of figures. Approvals don’t seem to get a second look. There are not a ton of different figure factories over there, these same factories churn out millions of figures a year without these late-in-the-process screw ups.
It’s apparent they are going to bin a full, or near full run of Cheetara figures and start over, having to go to the back of the queue again. I can’t imagine the cost in that, or trying to negotiate who is going to foot that bill.
If that’s what Super7 is doing, it blows my mind. My opinion of them will be thrown a complete 360 if they eat that sh*t sandwich to get the figure right.
I do agree with the sentiment for the most part. I don’t know what they could’ve done with Covid to change anything, and despite my harsh opinion of them, I feel really bad for them having to deal with the shipping container costs being well over quadruple what they were pre-Covid. The amount that cuts into their profits has to be rattling.
Yes, it’s a waste. My issue on this is with the employees at that factory and China in general. They’ve been consistently messing these figures up and now they’re charging extra for much slower shipping. I won’t buy whatever excuses they have for that because I’m only ever going to believe that it’s about one thing and that’s money. It’s the oldest reason in the world and as soon as there is an excuse for laziness, incompetence and demand for higher payouts, you can bet that is what will happen.
I’m not sure how long this line can survive based on how it’s going so far.

The time frame for shipments was once a dependable 24 days on water but is now a wide-ranging variable due to a variety of factors. Thank you for the update. These shipping delays have been ridiculous as well as the reasoning behind it.
I just had an email to say Cheetara is delayed as they’re not happy with how she turned out, yeah no s**t Sherlock. At least they’ve acknowledged it
Yes. The question is, do they ship her with wave 4 or after wave 4?
Who knows? Probably in 2076..

There is an update on toynewsi. I was under the impression that the rest of wave 3 was either already on it’s way to the US or had just arrived in the US. It now sounds like wave 3 has only just left China. So that will be another 3 months. We might get Jaga and Slithe by Christmas if we’re lucky. This shipping issue needs to be rectified. You can’t have items spending 3 months on the water every time, it’s a joke. That’s a quarter of a year. It’s not like they do it for free. They want more money now. They’re taking the piss. It’s not just about a toyline. This actually highlights a bigger issue.
[B]Good news! Jaga, Captain Cracker, and Slithe from the third wave of ThunderCats Ultimates! are completing thier journey across the ocean and will soon be on their way to the Super7 warehouse.
Unfortunately, Cheetara will not be included with the rest of the wave. Upon final inspection of the production run, the Super7 team was not satisfied with the quality of the figures. The short version is, updates that were supposed to happen didn’t happen. We are beyond frustrated to have to announce that Cheetara is facing another delay.
We have said time and time again that we will always choose to deliver the best possible product, at the expense of additional time, and we have made the decision to do that one more time. We are going over Cheetara’s design once again with the factory, to make sure we produce the quality figure that Cheetara and ThunderCats fans deserve.
As an apology, while we are unable to summon Cheetara’s super speed to get this done, we WILL be adding an extra head for your Cheetara figure! This painted head will feature glowing eyes, as she is “called” by the sword of Omens in the show.
Once again Jaga, Captain Cracker and Slithe will begin shipping to you in October! For those of you who ordered Cheetara along with any other figures in this wave, those figures will be on the way to you at this time as well - Cheetara will be shipped separately at a later time, at no additional cost to you. As we just made the decision to pull this figure last week, we are still working on a new completion date for Cheetara and will communicate that timing as soon as we can.[/B]
So we have a glowing eyes extra head for Panthro via the booster pack and now Cheetara will have an extra glowing eyes head as well.
Super7 might as well just start including the extra Glowing eyes heads going forward for the Thundercats core team.
Yes, I mean all the waves are late so they could do it for Tygra, Pumyra and Lynx-O too. What I want to see in the future is an extra pack along with the four figures in wave 5 like they did with TMNT Mousers in wave 6. I’d like this park to include Snarf, Snarfer and Berbil Bill with an extra Berbil head to make the Mumm-Ra Berbil and also a Lion-O head with lit up eyes as that would be perfect for Lion-O’s sight beyond sight pose. How’s that for an idea? Would be great to get that as well as Bengali, Hachiman, Ratar-O and Vultureman for wave 5. Really want to see Mongor at some point too, maybe in wave 6 or 7.
On a separate note, I hope we see the pre-transformed version of Mon-Star in Silverhawks Ultimates wave 2. I think he’d look good with the Thundercats Ultimates.
If I were Brian Flynn I would be saying to my Thundercasts Ultimates team Get those Extra heads with Glowing eyes in the works. Even if Super7 can’t include them with wave 2 they could always offer a Glowing Eyes Head pack with Tygra, Lion-o, Pumyra, Kit & Kat, and Bengali. Lynx-o wouldn’t have glowing eyes as he was blind and his eyes were always closed.
Reason Cheetara is getting the Extra Head is the Factory produced her without the corrections Super7 told them to make, so now the factory has to make the corrections to the figure then go back into production with her all over again Tygra and Mumm-Ra from wave two were only samples and Super7 caught the mistakes on those before the figures went into production so I doubt Tygra & Pumyra will get an extra glowing Eyes head included, but I admit it would be a nice gesture on Super 7’s part to include them for the massive delay with Wave 2.
Oh yes, of course, Lynx-O wouldn’t have the glowing eyes, wasn’t thinking there. Yes, maybe a pack of heads with glowing eyes for the other cat characters would be a good idea, although if they did offer those heads with wave 2 for the delay, then all they would have to do is include them with future releases like Bengali, Kit and Kat. That’s why I want the Lion-O one included with Snarf and whatever bundle he’s offered in. I wouldn’t want it to be with the re-issue of Lion-O because it should be for everyone who’s backed this line, not just people who’ve re-purchased Lion-O or missed the previous one. I’m not so sure I’ll re-purchase Kit and Kat when they are released as I have the Mattel ones but for anyone who does want to do that or doesn’t have the set, they would get the addition of extra heads just like with other Super7 releases. I’ve got all the Mattel ones apart from Pumyra which I’m glad about because she’s a giant. I also got the SDCC Icon Heroes Mumm-Ra The Ever-Living staction figure with Ma-Mutt. I’ve collected some Bandai, LJN and Savage World too. However, I did get Super7’s Lion-O, Mumm-Ra and Jackalman. The reason for Lion-O and Mumm-Ra is that those are my favourites and they both came with extra accessories that I wanted, particularly Mumm-Ra’s cloth cape. The reason for Jackalman is to have an extra henchman. I pre-ordered two Monkians for the same reason. It’s also good to have one with the roaring head and another with the regular head. It also bolsters the mutant army a bit more. Plus they can be mixed in with MOTUC villains also. I only passed on Panthro and Captain Cracker. Panthro is actually one of my favourites but there was nothing new with the Ultimates version that I wanted so I’m good with the Mattel version. I’m looking forward to my Jaga and Slithe. Hopefully I can get the others before my 34th birthday.
Maybe the Glowing Eyes Lion-O head could be an accessory when Super7 offers the Red Mumm-Ra version of Lion-O. I know Sebastiaan really wants the Red Lion-O version of Mumm-Ra to be made.
