Not to worry, From things I have read on line Wave 2 and wave 4 have arrived at the Super7 Warehouse and should start shipping out to customers in the next two weeks.
Not sure how quickly BBTS will be getting their wave 2 & wave 4 stock but it shouldnât be long now.
No, i know, that was precisely the point of the anecdote - âany dayâ keeps being not today! Whereas for the wait so far itâs been âsometime X weeks or months from nowâ and then you get to put it in the back of your mind 'til then. But now its a 24 hour cycle! When it gets so close the anticipation gets even more intense for me! I thought with diamond shipping the W1 v2âs last week weâd get the other waves in the few days following, like maybe they were on the same boat, but it was not to be. Itâs torture!
Anyway, what figure in wave two are you all most looking forward to and why?
I havenât received my notification for my wave 2 or wave 4 from BBTS. They probably havenât received their stock yet. Super7 just got these at their warehouse and havenât started shipping them yet. Iâm sure within the next two weeks see emails from BBTS and Super7
Is there still something wrong with Tygraâs right arm here? This is the figure weâve waited an extra long time for? Donât tell me they were sent back for re-tooling and then never actually got re-tooled. I really hope this extra waiting time hasnât been for nothing. I thought the idea was to wait longer in order to get a better product. It could be that they changed his colour but if they havenât fixed the arm, thatâs not acceptable after all this time. I donât think the Tygra figure in that picture looks very good at all. Itâs disappointing.

The yellow they used is pretty yellow though, very reminiscent of the figure, particularly the Benelux variant. https://i.imgur.com/S10nEBB.jpg
Thatâs what I was thinking. I have to admit, it bothers me. There are things I can look past but that is pretty poor. Every other version of 80âs Tygra had it so for this to be the one that doesnât really contradicts the idea of this being an âUltimatesâ Tygra.
Thatâs disappointing. Iâm still excited to get it, and itâs such a small detail, but that transition at the elbow feels really wonky without the elbow strap.
In one of the recent interviews Brian mentioned the absolutely astronomical price increase in producing and transporting toys (and itâs only going to get worse with global fuel prices now) and alluded to super7 clamoring to keep its head above water (pun?). The loss from these mistakes makes me wince for them. I hope they do something to amend this, but the cost of these additional runs seems prohibitive (i assume the factory shares SOME of the cost?). I donât know how theyâre going to play it when asked.
I hope cheetara is fixed. I hope pumyraâs height was fixed.
Like Booshman said, Brian said in an interview that they werenât but the colour scheme seems to have come out very similar to the LJN figure. The main problem is that there is no elbow pad.
I am generally extremely positive about Super7âs Thundercats Ultimates. I think they have done a good job on many figures and forthcoming figures look very promising. That said, dropping the ball on Tygra is hard to just shrug off. He is one of the most popular core Thundercats, my personal favorite, and with these prices and wait times, having some serious errors on this figure is a big let down. Perhaps S7 can do another âbooster packâ to correct the elbow pad issue. That is a pretty glaring error. I still want to see reviews of the figure outside of the packaging but Iâm definitely a bit put off by the recent âin handâ photos.
