Agreed on wave 5
wave 5 Hopefully:vultureman:rataro:wilykit:wilykat
Iâll take that. Then again, they could do figures based off of the people at Mattel as they are technically Thundercat villains now. Iâm picturing something that slightly resembles the Skeksis from âThe Dark Crystalâ. I suppose Vultureman looks a bit like Chamberlain so that would make sense.
If thatâs correct, I wish Super7 would remake the wave 1 at the other factory too, pinless and without proportions issues and specific poorly executed parts inherited from Mattelâs first release.
Isnât it weird Mattel continue to release their WWE, MOTU Origins, Revelations, animated line like there is no problem from their factoryâŚand yet they canât fix the Wave 2 assembly of the TC figures?
I feel and believe the errors were intentional, maybe really to get rid of outer toy company collab?
Thatâs a brand new can of worms. I think the booster pack indicated that those were the only changes that Super7 wanted to make and that the issues it rectified were the only issues that Super7 saw a problem with, despite their being more. Not many people mention this but I thought that Jackalmanâs fangs on the second head sucked, theyâre not even pointy.
Yes, it does seem deliberate. Thatâs what makes it so insulting. Super7 had already agreed to do this line at their own factory after wave 2 so there was really no need to do it, even if they were trying to avoid future collab. It shouldnât happen under any circumstances.
Maybe a Lion-o / Panthro 2.0 version and Jackalman troops to exchange the body, someday hopefully.
Saw some pictures on Instagram of wave 2 figures in their packaging, fully painted. Looks like they made substantial changes to Tygraâs head sculpt. The pics are not great, not close up, canât tell if the changes are an improvement or not. Anyway, good to see things are moving along to some degree.
With the way things are going, that seems like a long shot. I could see the 2.0 versions being the same and as for Jackalman, I have no idea if they will re-do him. Having mattel do wave 1 was a big mistake. Fans wanted major changes and didnât get it. If Mattel are manufacturing them, itâs bound to be the same again.
Did they show all of wave 2?
Yes, the whole wave, boxed and looking quite finished. Look up toyaddict26 account, they have the pic.
Trouble is, weâve been told that theyâre not finished.
Hmm, I donât know much about the steps in their process so maybe the packaged pics are not necessarily the finished pieces? Something about Tygraâs hair/head sculpt is still bugging me haha.
An update on Waves 2-4 from Brian Flynn of Super7.
âHello everyone!
We are super excited to share this image of the production samples of the ThunderCats ULTIMATES! Wave 2 figures with you!
As you all know, this wave has been plagued by delays, but itâs still moving forward although slower than we wanted. We have chosen over and over again to make sure that these figures are as accurate as possible instead of making them as fast as possible.
As many of you know, this wave of ThunderCats ULTIMATES! was purposely sent to the original factory that produced Wave 1. This is a much larger factory and our orders became less of a priority than their other larger clients. Unfortunately, as a result, our production has been bumped around quite a bit (to say the least). Because of this decision, we switched production back to our primary factory. ThunderCats ULTIMATES! Wave 3 has already shipped from this factory and ThunderCats ULTIMATES! Wave 4 is scheduled to be shipped in September. This means both Wave 3 and Wave 4 will arrive in your hands before Wave 2, which is currently scheduled to leave the factory in November 2021.
I wish I had a better answer for all of you regarding this second wave of ThunderCats ULTIMATES!, but we canât deliver anything that isnât correct. At this time, that means waiting a few more months for them to be completed.
This is frustrating for us too, as it also delays us from sharing the next waves of figures with you, as we want to get the figures you have already ordered into your hands first.
The good news is we believe this will be the final delay, and that all of us will soon have the Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living figure that we all wanted!
Thank you for your continued support of Super7.
-Brian Flynn (Founder and Owner)â
On thundercats_classicsâ Instagram page, yes. All Wave 2 on the table in their respective boxes.
Thanks for posting. Where does Super7 post these kinds of updates? I never seem to seem them until someone else posts about them on their own account. Excited to see these. Thoughts on the Tygra head sculpts? Markedly different from the initial version we were shown.
Itâs been said that Super7 are having to re-do wave 2 at their factory because these ones from the Mattel factory are incorrect.
and yes, Tygra looks weird.
âI wish I had a better answer for all of you regarding this second wave of ThunderCats ULTIMATES!, but we canât deliver anything that isnât correct.â
âŚoh, you canât, can you?
They already did
