got my Tygra and Mumm-ra…i got lucky too ( feels weird saying that for ultimates but yeah…) off course i had issues
the most important is that i made tygra an elbow pad!! and an alternative wip ( i didnt liked the rope one) i will post photos on fb if anyone from here
wants can post them here …for me is a pain in the ass…

0. his emblem is liked touched before got dry and its no smooth…and bothers me the most
a small witch’s yellow mole on his nose
some golden paint on one of his boods and on his back
i repainted his white part of hair also, mine wasn’t that good…
Mumm-ra
0.his left leg and arm is not well airbrushed…got too wet or too close
some minor paints over his body here and there
foot fur not well painted missing much color in some places …got repainted
the bracelet missing paint also…repainted
also painted metallic gold and steel the sword and looks much better!
and his kilt or whatever skirt…blue as supposed to be…its not black
Mr. Booshman, don’t you just hate it when S7 is previewing the teal LJN color variant of Mumm-ra in God-knows-which-factory-they-doing-it-now and thought I shouldn’t have colored it?
Sometimes, there’s no sense defending a toy company that trolls the customers that subtly let the bad QC units get sold unapolegitically and then make another fixed set that really feels like a cash cow to easily-nostalgic customers.
I decided that I won’t buy the updated Mumm-ra or even Mirror Lion-O. Same would be if they come out with a ghost Jaga or any other repaints. The one version will be enough for me.
I’m wondering if this new Mumm-ra will have other figure alterations besides the colour, so it will be more than just a simple repaint. In any case I have pre-emptively decided to pass.
I’ve heard some people’s guess that this is a one-off con exclusive for this summer. If that’s the case, it’s possible they ran/received this one with wave two.
I’m wondering if super7 saw an easy start to this line by contracting with mattel’s factory for the first two waves, which they own the tooling for - rather than investing the big money in outright buying the molds. It seems like a pretty good deal for launching a line, but a very poor one for longevity.
On the other hand, they are offering the same Lion-O mold… Was it made clear at any point where the w1 v2’s were coming from?
For as frustrating as it is for us, I swear Super7 has to regret ever getting on the Thundercats ship. What probably seemed easy at first has turned into a lot of headaches for them. They probably assumed they had a nice soft pitch coming with the first two waves.
the sneak peek with mumm ra’s hand holding the sword is a 3d rendered photo just like the ones in wave5, so no there is no possibility that they received him with the others in wave two… he is new 3d sculpted… i really dont know…if they dont have the molds why they make the red lion-o the same bad way and not a new upgrated mold?
I got Mumm-ra the ever living today in the mail. I had wave 2 pre-ordered on BBTS, but decided to cancel and switch to a smaller, Canadian shop. The price was about the same, but I didn’t want the hassle of going to the post office to pay duty. Anyway this place was a lot slower than I could have got them anywhere else and they only shipped wave 1 re-issues I had (Panthro, Jackalman) along with Mumm-ra. I’m waiting on Tygra, Pumyra, and Grunne.
As most have stated, Mumm-Ra is a great figure. I’m very pleased with him and Mumm-mutt is even OK for what he is. I didn’t notice any issues with my figure; the paint seemed decent enough, although I don’t seem to have the same eye for details as some do. It was nice after all these years to finally get one of my favourite characters from media in his powered up form as a toy at last. When I was a kid my Dad brought home a DC Super Powers Darkseid thinking it was Mumm-Ra. I guess he thought that because of the red eyes and hood/face?
I also felt Panthro and Jackalman were solid; no noticeable problems. I already had Matel Jackalman, but decided I wanted the Super7 version with the few extras, especially the head.
Actually just received my combined Wave 2, 3, and 4 Pile of Loots from BBTS. So far the defects I received (are those paint chips on the throat or sculpt chips?) are minor and seem acceptable to me. Really weirding out how more “reddish” Tygra’s orange is. So far no paint blots on my sets that I received. The “wins” were Mumm-ra TEL and the 2 mutants (Monkian and Slithe). Just slightly sad that the heroes (Jaga, Tygra) are not as ‘exciting’ as I’m hoping my nostalgia to kick.
According to Toyaddict26’s latest interview, Brian quoted in relation to Tygra as “if it gets remade…”. Is this a hint that it will be far too long for a possible fixed reissue of Tygra and they will have to mold a new one again for the new factory and they don’t have control of the Wave 2 molds? I guess people who canceled any of their Wave 2 figures should realize this is the only Tygra, Mumm-Ra TEL, Grune, and Pumyra run we’ll get because none will be reissued in this Wave.
Yet their LJN repaint wave 6 has Mummra TEL, so they either retooled it or they do have access to the original tooling. They said that they have taken all the tooling that was theirs to the new factory. I would expect that does not include anything officially released by Mattel, so all of wave 1 and the Thunder kittens. Hence the retool they are doing for Liono for wave 6.
Jaga was seen sporting Tyra’s elbow pad at the test shot prototype stage, that is the only evidence that that tooling exists. The Tygra we saw initially was a resin proto and every iteration since has been incorrect. The tool for the elbow we expected at least could be at the factory they are using, if not the whole figure.
I am not sure. Back when they got the licence Brian said they would re-tool the peg for the Clawshield..which they did not.
Maybe they will re-tool his body and correct his musculature and height.
