The story of the DVD:
In 2004, me and my family drove out to New Jersey for this thing called Empire Fan Fest. The main draw was Mark Hamill of Star Wars fame, but my nerdy butt was there to see 4 voice actors from a little show called Thundercats :-p I also looked forward to meeting up again with some friends from the fandom, including Cheezey and her hubby.
The four there were Larry Kenney, Lynne Lipton, Gerianne Raphael, and Peter Newman. They were all pretty cool and Larry was particularly sweet…my son was just 6 at the time and had seen Tcats before, so Larry took him on his knee and said in Lion-O’s voice: “Sword of Omens, come to my hand!” That was cool and kinda weird at the same time  You hear Lion-O, but you don’t see him heh heh. But it’s true - his speaking voice isn’t too far off from his Lion-O voice.
The trip out there from Michigan had me pretty poor, and by the time I paid for a poster and their signatures on it (sweet old Larry signed all my stuff at no cost though, bless him - knew me from the net, knew I traveled the farthest and took pity on me I guess hehe), that I just couldn’t quite spring for this DVD they were selling there of themselves in the studio. It was put together from home video and such they’d made back then and they only had a finite amount of copies.
Luckily, I put in some cash with Cheeze and her hubby, they bought a copy, and her hubby was able to burn me a copy of that before I left the state (they lived nearby).
However, you’ve never seen anything from it online (not from me anyway, though I did see one asshat selling copies on ebay a few times) because they made us promise not to bootleg it on ebay, rip clips and put it on the net and so on. I can’t even post pics I took publically on the net from the con because they didn’t want that either. So I’ve respected their wishes.
Basically what’s on it mostly are the four actors that were present at the con, plus footage of the two that have passed - McFadden and Hammond. Most of the lines you see them read were from Book of Omens, the final ep. It’s them reading in the studio and goofing off between takes…or during heh heh.
Doug Preis is nowhere to be seen, sorry.
Lee Dannacher and Earl Hyman also appear in spots, but it’s mostly the four that were at the con, plus the tribute of sorts to their departed actors. The dvds were homemade by one of the actors - it’s nothing you can buy in the stores. You can tell it’s old film, and my copy glitches a little in spots (dunno if that’s from them or when Coldy made the copy, but it works well enough so who cares!), but it’s pretty neat. They’re all such cut ups
That said, I’m willing to privately share things from it and the con but you’d have to promise not to post it publically on the web. It’d just be for your personal use.
