Vultureman Custom action figure

Hi all, been a while since I posted anything up here, been working on some MOTU amongst other stuff that doesn’t fit in here.

Finally rescued Vultureman from the WIPs box, Started way back in September last year. Been meaning to get on with him for a while now but every time I looked it just seemed like too much work. I’m real happy I did and am well pleased with the results.

Recipe
Base= Jakks WWE Deluxe

Head = Vintage LJN Vultureman with a Beta Ray Bill head shaved down and sculpted inside. The whole bottom half of the head is sculpted.

Forearms and hands = ML Blackheart held on with screws

Lower legs and feet = ML Blackheart held on with screws

Feathers = LJN Vultureman, sanded down and sculpted feather at the front and top of back

Skirt = Foamy with twistie ties inside and wire for the trims

Big gun = One of Vultureman’s bird brained inventions made from a ridiculously oversized GI Joe accessory with an action man barrel and some tubes slapped on there. (I Based it on a picture I saw somewhere not sure if it was a fan pic or what)

Small Gun = Think it might be MOTU

Skin = Sculpted head to toe for a bird like skin texture

Great updates man, i’ve got the ‘customs’ bug again myself. Planning a few neat projects now but this is great and gave me some ideas for parts :slight_smile:

Thanks again people, I’ve not posted here in quite some time, mainly because I’ve been working on a lot of he-man customs. I keep trying to get back to the cats but MOTU keeps drawing me back in.

No trouble, personally I’m a bigger Thundercats fan than MOTU fan, but whatever floats your boat.

Would you try making Plutar, Rataro & Quick Pick?

Plutar & Quick Pick were two classic creations.

Thanks man, i finished these up some time ago and while I do not have any plans for plutar and quick pick, you never know, maybe some day??

I love the Mutants you did especially Slithe I think you really nail him. I wish those figures are what we got back in the 80’s but still I wouldn’t trade LJN figure for the world. Some great memories with my Thundercats Figures :slight_smile: Thanks for sharing this. Awesome work :slight_smile:

Your Slithe, Vultureman, Monkian, and Jackalman figures are brilliantly sculpted.

This definately looks interesting.
One thing I found odd, no offense, was it reminded me of a Skesis from the Dark Crystal,

But he still is cool looking.
