Remember those awesome ThunderCats out-takes where the samoflange made its appearance? Well the same Audio Engineer (Larry Franke) who uploaded those a few years ago also recently shared this awesome footage of Earle Hyman, Earl Hammond and Bob McFadden recording one of the final scenes of the series.
It’s pretty epic. Apparently Lynne Lipton was holding the camcorder. The dark haired guy who walks in near the end of the clip is Larry Franke, the Audio Engineer who later became one of the producers on SilverHawks.
Watched this earlier as I saw it on facebook. It is truly a great behind the scenes peek at how much fun they had and what a awesome show Thundercats is in part due to their genius!
That was awesome. I wish it was longer, I could sit and listen for a lot longer. It amazes me to hear the voices I know so well coming from regular ppl. It’s weird but neat for sure.
This is simply fantastic! It is so great to see the voice actors in action. I really wish it was longer and that we could have gotten to see some of the other voice actors like Larry Kenney, Lynne Lipton and Peter Newman as well.
It is interesting to see that they all recorded their voices together, unlike today when most voice actors’ lines are recorded separately and then edited together.
I do believe I read somewhere that Lynne Lipton used to record these voice recording sessions on her camcorder but she was adamant about not wanting to post or share them online, which is a pity for us fans. A million thanks to Larry Franke for uploading this amazing video, and a million thanks to Mark for posting it on TCL.org.
