Hello all. I’m rather new to this, so if this has been discussed already, forgive me, eh?

I noticed two VERY distinct Mumm~Ra Headresses that I have here. One, the ‘regular’ one, is maroon and fits my Mumm~Ra perfectly. The other, the one in question, is more BLOOD red in color, and seems oddly smaller than the other, and doesnt fit his head right. Any insight into this? Was it just a production run thing, or? I have heard tell of a ‘red’ and a ‘maroon’ Mumm~Ra…is this all it is, or?? On the “red” one I have, even the sculpt seems a little off..its well made and all, obviously the real deal, but yet its not the same as the maroon one.

Indeed it is a variation. It is highly speculated that the darker maroon version was part of the free battery promotion. We have set up a variations section to shocase the different variations. As far as the rarer of the two. The maroon version is the rarest one

Thanks for the aide Manny. :slight_smile: I’m a little confused though…See, I always thought that the MAROON one was the LJN one…the “regular” one…no? There is a thread here saying that the RED one is the ‘GlassLite’ one. Also, why would LJN (or whomever for that matter..) detail Mumm~Ra’s BODY in MAROON, but make his headress in RED?? :shocked:

Well Glasslite did make a red one, but it is stuck to Mumm-ras head and doesnt come off. LJN made both versions just like it made 3 regular versions of liono. If I remember correctly as I havent looked in a while the Mummras should link up, ie red headress sold with red mummra and sword, and blood red “maroon” headress with blood red “maroon” mummra and sword. As far as the last part you have pieces to two seperate figs. I have a glasslite mummra if you would like to see what I mean. Maybe ill start another one of my variation threads for it.
