Something new for everyone… this is an unproduced Mumm-Ra hardcopy. It is unclear why this version was not produced. However, it is speculated that this may have been a later add-on figure to increase the line.
My client remembers that at one point, they were discussing cloth samples to be used with this figure… suggesting a possible cape.

THAT is a cool looking Mummra! The pose is awesome and the muscle proportions and detail are much better than the original. Wish this was the first Mummra that came out with the line, thanks for the share!
I particularly like the hand and feet of this figure. wonder if a painted version will ever show up?
I can say with certainty… there is no painted version that I know of. Of all my clients, this is the only one that has ever surfaced from a collection.

Can you tell us any more about this piece? was it constructed early in the toy line? or at the end? I know much of the stuff you have has been from the end..just curious
From what my client has told me, this was done towards the tail end. I currently work with about five different people from LJN, and nobody really seems to know much about this piece.
It turned up in a collection from the same person who worked on many of the unproduced figures such as Red Eye, Quick Jaws and Cannon Blaster. Therefore, we’re assuming that this was done towards the tail end.
I have not personally come across another piece like this.. We have tons of photographs we’re looking at, and hopefully some history on this will turn up.

That looks awesome. The sculpts really started to improve towards the end of the line. I had always hoped LJN would have released an improved Lion-O and Mumm-Ra like they did with Tygra.

Has nobody ever done anything about getting the figures re released for an anniversary os something? Like they did with tmnt…
They would sell out! And they could release all the figures that were never completed, like this one.
I for one would buy every single figure!
They’ll have to buy the rights from whoever owns the LJN sculpts.

This would be extremely difficult. The figure pictured above, some one owns, In order to be able to use it to cast a new mold, that individual would have to volunteer the use of this figure, and there is a likely possibility that this would be damaged in the process, and these things are NOT cheap.
The unreleased figures would more than likely by off limits. But a commemorative or anniversary line, like the MOTU one from 2000, of some of the more popular released LJN figures would be kinda neat.
Yeah anything like that would be sweet. Maybe they could make some new moulds?

I think that the Bandai Classics line will end up introducing many characters we all have wanted…i am particularly hoping for the Lunitaks
Probably the only way we will see them after what you said about the moulds etc.
I dont think it would be hard to do that figure. All i think would be needed is use laser technology and do a full blown mapping of the figure. Translate that into the toy making process and your original leaves the floor undamaged.

I just wanted to clarify. Hollywood Heroes own this image. It was taken by us, to showcase this figure. The image is our property.
The figure, however, has been sold to a customer. The customer has asked us to re-sell this item for him, and given us permission via E-mail to shop the item.
At this point, I am contractually obligated not to give the owners name, since they have requested that it remain confidential.
