UK Toy Distribution Rant

Hey guys, haven’t posted in a while but ive been buzzing after hearing about the new thundercats merchandise due out this year. However one BIG problem, myself like a few others here are from the UK and that means not all the toys will be available to us.

I was interested to see if the pre-orders for the SDCC stuff on toys r us would be available to the uk and suprise suprise their not. I went to the UK toys r us website and not one mention of these. Im sure the toys from the new cartoon will be available but im more interested in the classics line bandai will be putting out and im really worried they wont be available to the UK and the fact Big Bad Toy Store aren’t doing the pre orders for delivery in the UK also has me worried.

Why the hell is it that in the 21st century 2011 and still the rest of the world lag behind the U.S when it comes to toys??? Im seriously annoyed and frustrated because it means we will be getting ripped off by sellers on Ebay. Not only the thundercats classics line but i also wanted to collect the Mattel WWE Legends figures and none of them as of yet have been in any toy store in the UK, which means online shopping which means ridiculous prices! Arrggghh. So sick of the poor distribution (in fact non-distribution) of so many toys to the UK and im sure Europe suffer the same. Not fair at all

I know BBTS would ship to the UK if they could. This would be due to the main toy line launching over here in the autumn.

However, no matter the company, I’m afraid territories outside the USA mostly always miss out on any exclusive figures. Not just Bandai, but also other toy companies do this as well

I sometimes suffer from this problem because, despite living in a US territory, we’re sometimes considered a seperate country.

But don’t cut yourself short. Bandai has a history of releasing certain figures in the UK only and never bringing them over to the US. I wouldn’t be surprised if Thundercats suffers the same fate at some point.
