Joined the forum to let you know there is an interesting new pack of Thundercats figures out now as an Argos exclusive in the UK (I work for Argos Direct and spotted it in one of our Xmas sales brochures). I was going to post this as a new thread but the board restrictions do not enable me to, however feel free to post elsewhere.
I expected this to be the Eye of Thundera re-pack including wave 1 Lion-O, Tygra and mummy Mumm-Ra alongside the Snarf re-paint (I think it’s a repaint, anyway). In actual fact, this is a re-pack including the golden Lion-O from the Armor of Omens with both versions of the Sword of Omens and the Claw Shield, Clear Tygra (named as such on the box) sans weaponry from the Tower of Omens playset, wave 2 Mumm-Ra with the folded back wings and Sword of Plundarr and the aforementioned Snarf re-paint.
This set is advertised at £24.99, instantly reduced from the £29.99 RRP. I bought mine at the Stafford Hough store, but it does seem to be available in other stores and for home delivery.
Wow :eek: that has got to be one of the worst, most pointless pieces Bandai have released, and that is saying something!
Congratulations Bandai you have out done yourself…just when we thought the line was being canceled and you couldn’t release anymore terrible toys you out do yourselves once again.
Even a clear version of the normal Tygra toy fair enough…Lion-O with gold highlights kinda cool, but instead a solid gold and clear version of the underarticulated figures.
£25??? for 3 figures and Snarf…the way they are priced around the country now for £25 you could buy a Thundertank with the same Snarf and have enough left over for 3 or 4 standard figures.
Thanks for re-posting this, Lordore. No further information about other packs. I personally wouldn’t imagine so. The only other item in the brochure I mentioned is the Thundertank at a reduced price, which doesn’t even show on the Argos website as far as I’m aware.
I have to agree with Mark. I don’t see this selling for £25 whatsoever. If they had included the 4" Deluxe Slithe, I think it would definately have shifted.
With a Slithe it might sell better but even with Sslithe £25 is a lot. If they would make Kanar and Adicus or whatever they are called I still call them Monkian and Jackalman lol it would be a more worthwhile set.
Crap as this set may be, It will be a very hard to find set, so advise is to pick one up, or two, im sure you will have no trouble selling this to US buyers!
Just a heads up, my local Argos only had One in stock, i had to reserve it to pick up Tomorrow.

Guys it’s been ages since i’ve been on here but just wanted to show my gratitude over the 4 pack exclusive… I reserved and picked up mine yesterday… My argos didnt have many either. I hope they do sell out quickly and it sends a message out that we will buy different content.
Ps. Someone on ebay in uk is selling the 15cm Tygra and Cheetara had 9 or 10 of each. Just thought i’d mention it as these arent in shops in the uk are they?
