But we don’t know anything until the writers supply back story. It is only a guessing game until then.

I’ve been thinking. Just watched the trailer for “Journey to the Tower of Omens” again, and Tygra could be more analytical / strategic than we think in this show. When Lion-o asks “Think they left a key behind?”, and Tygra replies “Actually they left a few” gives a hint that, wether none of the others did, he was studying the room and saw the keys above them.
Tygra was my favorite in the OS and is shaping up to be my favorite again in the new series despite the changes. I think he’s easily the most complex character of the group at this point and probably has the most potential in terms of paths his character can take.
Everyone else seems to have a defined role within the group besides him. Yeah, he’s the jealous sibling but he can’t stay like that for long. He’s going to have to deal with the fact that Lion-O is king now and “left him behind” in a way. Not to mention that despite his arrogance I think he’s probably the most insecure member of the group.
Hopefully we get his backstory soon and really just more Tygra in general.
He’s also shaping up to be the caretaker of the group.
In the second episode he was the one that kept bringing the kittens up. He was also the one that made sure snarf was safe when the boat sank.
The most recent preview clips he was the one that turned and made sure to grab snarf on the way down as the bridge gave out.

I think he has the potential to be one of the funniest and wittiest too if the writers can sharpen that edge a little.
He did show his big brother instinct in the premiere. It could extend beyond Lion-O to include cute children and snarfs too.
I think the big brother thing both good land bad are going to be a big part of his character this time around.
Yeah, but he didn’t stop to consider it might be booby-trapped to use the wrong one.
Is it just me, or did the tone in his voice when he mentioned the keys not seem to add up well with the expression on his face?
I am loving this about him. It makes his character more endearing.

Well, he’s still young and have a lot to learn yet. Maybe he thought so many keys were only there to make people who get there lose time and surrender (abandon the quest), and nothing else.
I think I have it at home. Let me check it out and I’ll post it tonight oer tomorrow (actually, I have it here sa well -I’m at work- but I have to use photobucket to post it, and for some reason the site doesn’t work here, think they have blocked it).
You can also copy the banner picture and edit it in Windows media Picure manager, it’s really easy.

I think Tygra’s moment in the series is about to come. Pantrho got the previous week’s episode, and Cheetara this one. If they’re trying to give each chracter an episode to show off, next might be Tygra’s (or the kittens).
I liked how supportive he’s turning up to be without maybe even noticing it himself.
I agree. This was by far his best episode so far, but I know he still can do better… I think his moment’s coming next week.
I liked how he dcided to attack Mumm-Ra invisible and grabbed his ankle. BTW, des anyone remember what he said as Mumm-Ra shot him and he threw his whip at him… I stll don’t understand it.

The moment when Cheetara got shot. Lion-O wanted to go for her, but Tygra knew that the overall goal was more important than each individual life. Im not saying he didn’t care. We saw him stay behind in “Old Friends” when she went to grab the thunderlium (?). He just saw a bigger picture and Im willing to bet cheetara would agree with him.
Anyways I approved.
He’s utilizing the whip ! Yeshhhhhhhhh.
The moment with Mumm-Ra was excellent. He took the initiative and used strategy. Now were starting to see why everyone thinks he would make a better King.
His face when Cheetara went up that tower. LOLx100 .I wonder if he will clash with her never ending support for Lion-O. Looks like she will be soft to his harsh.
Yup, and I for one enjoyed his and Pathro’s rather big brother rubbing moent at Lion-o in the beginning when Lion-o was trying to get sight beyond sight to work for him. I was waiting for a comment to fly from either one of them at Lion-o’s sword remark. No older brother I know would have let that one go without some comment. 
Yup, here’s hoping that’s the start of the rather sharp, cool intelligence that was his trade mark in the OS.
So true. I think it also explains why he looked up when none of the others did. He likes to ambush and attack from above.
Was I the only one that thought we might hear “You have any other bright ideas” when the whole key thing didn’t work? Of course he had snarf in one arm, a kitten dangling from a leg and was holding on for dear life at the time.
And geesh… They do seem to like to pound the hits on Tygra. First in Peddlers you saw him take that hit in his armor with the sound of something cracking. Now the pounding he took tonight.
I’ve noticed, and I guess he will get the most. You know, Cheetara is a woman and there are still some prejudices about hitting hard on a TV animated series woman that is nonetheless a fighter (not that I agree in hitting one in real life, neither a guy lol), the twins are kids, Lion-o is the hero, and Panthro is the big guy who can defend himself, so I think Tygra will get the most.
Even more, given the personality they seem to be trying to give him, people might feel the less sympathy for him than for any of the others.
I must say i like Tygra the most.
The Sword of Omens is one cool “toy” but the whip is more fun to me, not to mention i just like the look of Tygra much more than the others.
I REALLY HOPE, he get to use the whip more and really show what he can do with it. Just for fun with all the flashbacks, i would like to see how he GOT HIS WHIP who trained him and what it took for him to make the whip HIS WEAPON.
I want to see the whip story as well… something like Saint Seiya? lol Seriously, I wouldn’t like that. But I doubt they’ll ever bother to show that.
