I agree. They could gave come with something so much better. At least they could have called them Cheetygra and Tytaro or something like that lol

As for names i think it would be cool for the boys to have the names of their grandfathers…Claudius and Javan.
I believe they were actually named after Kit and Kat. Or at least named as an homage to them.
While Tygra is my favorite TCat, I have to admit he was built up to be a total B.A. in the series opener but since hasn’t really done much.
He was in the first half of the series, but since the Trials made Lion-O the resident badass and stud Tygra’s back to being the butt-monkey like he was in the original series.
That’s the problem with the series as a whole, even thought Lion-o is the main guy, it just seems like they are unsure of what to do with any of the characters. I don’t know, none of the characters come off as particularly good at their respective jobs.
Although I have to admit my favorite episode was the one with Tygra meeting his Biological father.
Tygra has done a pretty good job of being snarky and cynical. Cheetara being somewhat mysterious has been good. All the characters have been portrayed pretty well if you ask me.
I kinda agree with Atharus in regards to the other TCs’ character development.
For example, besides the twins eps with Tookit, and maybe Panthro with the Berbils, the other TCs haven’t had a special relationship with any other character, all because of the need for Lion-o’s growth, as if th others don’t have such need, or can’t learn any more. And I also agree with how much Tygra’s original traits have been left behind (still my favorite charatcer though).
In the OS, the other TCs had their special bonds as well: Cheetara with Wizz-Ra, Tygra with the warrior maidens, the kittens with Prof. Dometome, etc. Now is always Lion-o the one relating to the outsiders.
It would have been nice if it was Cheetara the one bonding with the creatures in the Forest og Magi Oar, for example.
I mean, just take a look to the Cheetara/Tygra/Panthro/Thunderkittens/Pumyra/Mumm-Ra threads: really slow. Have these threads existed in the OS times, they would have hundreds of pages by now, but now it’s like there’s almost nothing to say about them.
So the guy is a natural pilot. Who would say?
And I like that his pride played good for a change.

I agree with hammy, the flashbacks stories and the origins of each character were one of the best thing in the NS. The writers gave us insight and in-depth info of how they came to ther position they are now.
Any fan of the old Series had this gripe, we got so little info on the main characters background, the new set of writers though have done an exemplary work on this part. Their overall portray is very good
Tygra was good today. I enjoyed sooooo much him punching Pumyra 
Yeah - it looks as if Tygra has now mastered improvisation in battle! 
(I felt bad about the violence piled on Pumyra, though)

I have an idea. What about listing our fav Tygra eps? We can make a list for the OS and one for the NS, and discuss the whys. I’ll clear my mind over the weekend and post it on Monday, and hope you post as well.
