“Into the Astral Plane”[/B]: I don’t like what it says about the ep. Hope they don’t make Tygra a big jerk. When I read “The Astral Plane” though, I thought it might have something to do with his mental powers.
I don’t think it has to do with Cheetara, but with Lion-o having the aword. I think Tygra will come up with something like “you’re only better than me because you have the sword”.
Wonder what the “clash” will be about. Sound a promising episode, the most promising in a long time. But as I said, hope they don’t make Tygra a jerk.
"Between Brothers": this one sounds to me as a continuation of the previous one. Maybe “Into the Astral Plane” ends with the brothers in conflict, and in this one they work on their differences, try to understand each other and get a little closer.
Either way lets hope he kicks Lion-o’s arse eh? 
Oooooh I really hope Tygra learns how to summon fire with his whip in this reboot! Was one of the best things he could do with the whip IMO.
Well…Tygra is kind of a jerk in this series. Is he absolutely repulsive? No. That’s the way I like it anyway. Self-assured, and mostly having the skills to back it up. Although he is self-proclaimed ‘perfect’, it’s pretty darn obvious he’s not and he’s got his hang-ups. And yes, there are lessons he needs to learn/be taught. One of them is apologizing and recognizing when he’s in the wrong-then admitting it. But what has me nervous is if his mistakes will be handled the same way that Lion-O’s are.
I understand he is not Lion-O, but…I’m wondering if the same leniency or reasonableness-sorry I know there’s a better word but can’t think of it now- would be shown after one of Tygra’s flubs. Because right now, I’m seriously doubting that. Though I’d love to see Tygra get scolded- it would have to be by Cheetara or Panthro, and then they would somehow push him into the correct or desired response. There’s no way he’d take that from Lion-O. Sorry if I’m not making any sense; I’m having trouble finding words to express myself. 
Yes, but he’s a “Mark Sloan” (from Greys Anatomy) kind of jerk, and I love that character lol
About the bolds, I always thought that was what set the OS Tygra apart from the others: he was the only TC I ever saw to apologize for his mistikes when he screwed up.
And I get your point, and agree with it, in that it should not be Lion-o the one scolding him, or teaching him any lesson. Cheetara or Panthro would be better choices for that.
Maybe Beebo didn’t want Tygra to let him go until the Thundercats left the village? I wouldn’t if I was that small and almost got kidnapped again. :tygra: +

I suppose I wouldn’t want to go either. And I found a gif of the backhand (tumblr where else?) and the baby covers its eyes, and kinda reaches/grabs for Tygra. So cute!

Tygra had some BA moves and some great dialog.
He even got to save "The Girl :rolleyes:
Loved tonight’s episode love seeing Tygra get some lines and some screen time that’s significant! That armour Tygra wears is AMAZING for him to have taken so many blows and get back up without a single cracked rib or spitting out some teeth!
I’ve been trying to find somewhere to watch the episode again; there was so much going on when I caught it the first time- phone’s ringing, someone’s on the treadmill, convos b/c we haven’t spoken to each other in days…
But I’ll have to catch it later I suppose. I was really trying to contain myself in the episode discussion thread tho. 
It was like FINALLY! Yea, the main focus was still on Lion-O, but Tygra definitely had some nice moments. And I really like him as a big bro- he’s honest, yet he kinda dismissed his lack of faith in Lion-O, and like you said Chique- he drew attention to the fact Cheetara believes in Lion-O. So he was trying to be encouraging in his own way. And then I loved at the end that he brought Lion-O back to the main point at the end-Use what he’s learned.
…aaannnndddd I kinda thought that the fact Tygra was not the one who even brought up that they both like the same girl and did not physically say ‘this is a competition too’ It indicates his maturity (we’ll probably see it go down a few notches in the next eps, but hey, good characters are not static or manic) and firmly put me behind Tygra and Cheetara. Really L/C is now ruined for me b/c of Lion-O’s mouth (surprise, surprise). I even saw even that line as something of a nudge more towards T/C. I don’t really remember Tygra’s reaction to that sentence. I’ll have to look again.
Ha I know L/C has ALWAYS been ruined for me since I was little, first besides it was a little too ‘hots-for-teacher’ in the 80’s (she knew him as a cub first, too yuck for me) and now because Lion-O’s maturity just seems lacking. I love the little moments between Cheetara and Tygra (side by side a lot, exchanging glances, protecting/concern for Snarf and the Thunderkittens, Tygra and Cheetara always seemed to me like the mommy and daddy of the group!) Hoping Cheetara will open her eyes and start trying to nurture Tygra a little bit too (come on now Cheetara, there are two princes who could use your wisdom), something tells me deep down Tygra’s need some real guidance too and soon.
Finally.
Even when i didn’t find this episode great, I find it great as for what it did for Tygra.
In the beginning, we see a more mature Tygra, who not only has accepted his destiny regarding the sword and the crown and all that, but was encouraging and supportive of his brother… in his own way and up to his own limits, that is, but it was nice.
Then, “the girl” discussion… Lion-o did ruin his chances in my mind, but I liked seeing Tygra worried about his brother’s chances because that will make him act more cautiously too. He seems really interested on her, not jus because he wants to annoy Lion-o.
Then his fighting scenes were great (again he took the hard hit…), and at the end he showed once again encouragement and trust towards his brother.
I think in this episode Tygra gave many big steps forward and is profiling himself as a great character.
Also, after watching it, something strange happened. Now I really don’t care if Lion-o “wins” Cheetara (yes, still wanting it to be Tygra, but after this episode, I was all “pou can have the girl, kid, Tygra is out on better things now”).
I must confess, I was expecting a scene/line where Cheetara saved Tygra and used the same line he told her when saved her… that is a classic scene which has always annoyd me (guy saves girl and brags about it, just to have the girl later saving teh guy and replying the same way). I’m glad it didn’t happen.
And, yes, I alo see T/C as the parents of the group.
Totally right TygraRules, this episode did do amazing things for Tygra, it showed inklings of the supportive brother we knew was in there, known was in there from Tygra’s line in the premiere when they are fighting the cat mob “You’d better be sure you want to do this, because I’ve got his back” definitely made it clear Tygra loves his brother just resents him sometimes too. It’s got to be hard busting your butt to be the best you can be, to be admired and respected to the max but ultimately being told no matter what you do you’ll never be good enough to lead a kingdom.
And you know, I wonder precisely what was it that Tygra was taught and trained for as a Prince- with the full knowledge he would never lead. Maybe he’s the back-up?

Worried about his brother’s chances? I thought the look Tygra had after Lion-O said that was more of a look of determination than anything else. I agree though that Tygra does seem geniunly interested in Cheetara though too.
If anything, I think Lion-O was just being up front to Tygra that he is aware that he likes Cheetara as well and was pretty much just announcing what was already going on, a competition to ‘court’ Cheetara pretty much. It’s not like he was saying he and Tygra should race or fight over Cheetara ignoring her feelings.
