The teaser is ok, but it really looks weak compared to the Spider-Man 3 teaser that was also released recently. It looks like the movie will take more of a humans vs. Transformers angle instead of just having all out Transformer on Transformer action. Oh well. :irked:
Thanks for that Tygra.. I just took a look at both for the first time and totally agree that based on the trailers Spiderman 3 looks fantastic. The transformers trailer was wierd.. not what I was expecting to see at all. Half way through I still wondered if I was viewing the correct clip.. They seemed not to want to give much away.. I guess we will have to wait until they are released to give a better comparison..
How did you get that it is a humans vs. TF angle from the teaser. I thought it was good and if you saw it in the theatre without knowing it is TF it would be a suprise. The Spiderman 3 short trailer that is out is not a teaser in my opinion. The removed Spiderman Trade Center teaser is down the same lines as the TF teaser. You watch it and don’t really know what it is for until the end of the clip.
The whole “Only warning we had” thing I guess. That and the ever growing cast of human characters has me worried that they are going the wrong direction. Is it wrong to want 95% of the movie to be Autobot vs. Decepticon action?
Yeah I got the same feeling when I was watching it too. I’m really holding out on my opinion, but I just have this bad feeling that I’m not going to like it.
It’s not wrong; it’s what we 80s kids were used to – lots of big robots, minimal human usage. I think my biggest fear is that I won’t even recognize that it’s Transformers, but that it will be a generic storyline with characters who we wouldn’t care if they lived or died.
This little clip has been out for several years, but all the recent ‘Transformers’ hype made me want to hunt it down and watch it again…

In a coincidental bit of breaking news, I just discovered earlier this week that Peter Cullen has been cast for the voice of Optimus Prime in the upcoming movie. He was the original voice actor for Optimus in the animated series, so that’s gonna be a really nice tie-in…

While I didnt mind the teaser, I think it would create interest. I agree about the Spidey Teaser, I love stuff like that, brief glimpses of footage and great music. I dont think they could have done that with TF because they havent really done much yet, so maybe when we get a proper teaser trailer it’ll be better
