Was curious how everyone tracks their collections? Currently i keep each purchase in its own folder (with all related information) i then title that folder with a sequential number - title - and price, I use an excel spreadsheet as an index of all the folders.
I have heard of coin and comic collecting software but none specifically for toys…

I do not make an inventory. It’s not good for my health to face the prices i paid for my stuff 
and it’s certainly not good for my mariage once my wife will see that detailed information ! LOL:p
Just seeing if anyone was using / recommended a specific program/database for tracking collections…if not, what did they use?
I have tracked every dime i have spent on Thundercats since i started collecting in January…all i can say is wow…
I just use Numbers to create a spreadsheet for all three of my collections. I don’t however list the prices I paid for each item. One: it would be to hard as I started the database way after starting the collecting and two: I agree with Madbubbler. It would be to depressing to see how much money I’ve spent.
Yea…i keep the autosum total in a white font so i don’t have to see it everytime the spreadsheet is open lol. the reason i keep prices has to do with a few factors, 1 is insuring the collection, 2 is i am tracking pricing treads for Thundercats 3 in case i decide to sell any (and i am sure i will as at least 30% were impulse buys versus focus buys) i can reference what i paid to try and at least recoup my initial investment.
I use www.collector-actionfigures.com…it’s a good site where you can add pictures from your collection. Plus, you can add/edit information about any figure in the database…

Has anyone searched for an insurance company specializing in Toys collections?? How can someone secure hos precious belongings??
After what happened to me and the imminent danger of seeing my precious Tcats collections being stolen or destroyed i am starting to think of protective measures.

One of my friends is an insurance agent for State Farm in the U.S., and he was able to insure my collection under a “Fine Arts” category. Many insurance companies all over the world insure paintings and other rare collectibles so you might be able to find a company in Greece that does the same and will help you ease worries about something terrible happening to your collection.
