Yep, these pages turned out rather more ambitious than I thought they would be!
Included in the Prototypes section is the major ones everyone knows such as Feliner, Thunderstrike etc…
Then we also have some of the different weapons and accessories that were pictured with the figures, mostly in catalogues and on the backs of packaging. Mumm-Ra with cape, Cheetara with red staff etc…
and finally we have images of the pre-production Lion-o and Lynx-o prototypes. Apologies for the image quality on these, but for now they were the best I could do.

I like the prototype section I think that it came out very well. A+++ Glad you got better pics of my lynx-o prototype (they look good) as mine were very fuzzy

Those pics on the pre-production prototypes page come from Andrew McCabe’s old toyandtoons.com site. He gave me all the files from it last year to re-use on this site. He used to own both those pieces (Lion-o and Lynx-o)
Manny (collectibles) mentioned you had prototype Lynx-o pics, but I never saw them so I used what I had at the time. But if they are clearer than the ones you currently have that’s cool 
Yeah I own that same Lynx-o prototype. Your pics you have up are def better than the ones I took (as my camera has no flash). It’s great to have hard evidence to back the fig up though (as protypes can be easily bootlegged nowadays).
I love that proto Lion-o, I would love to get my hands on him.

Didnt one of these prototype’s turn up from a designer that lives in new jersey? I think the guy worked for Shelcore toys.

I have NO idea why they were going to put out more Berserkers though…the original ones were pretty bad (except for Hammerhand, who was ok). The prototype Berserkers look like they would be continuing that trend.

Although these pieces were from close to the end of the LJN toyline anyway, I do wonder whether the reason some of these never made it to production was for other reasons, such as not being terribly practical designs, those Beserkers perhaps being a case in point? I can imagine the Feliner also not making it to production because of what an expensive toy it would have been, given the relative size of it!
