I was a fan early on of the new Thundertank. It’s something that’s way better than I could have imagined (I thought it would have been cool to redesign it as a hovertank, but I’ll admit the lack of treads would take away from its toughness and overall “tankiness”).
The old Thundertank always struck me as less of a tank and more like a General Purpose vehicle. The new version? This looks like it could seriously tear you a new one! Also the additional cycle pods are nice touches. Can’t wait to see them in action on the show.
Why have three lines at the same time (actually four with the deluxe)?
Why would the thundertank be made for the 4" only and not the 6"? I barely noticed Panthro in the thundertank picture there.
Couldn’t they just made a 6" (new) & 8" (classic) lines? Even my kid prefers the 6" over the 4" (deluxe and regular).
This whole marketing strategy just doesn’t make any sense to me right now.
Because it’s more cost effective to only make vehicles and playsets on a 4 inch scale. And it’s obvious the 6 inch and 8 inch collector lines won’t be as extensive as the 4 inch line, so by doing a kid’s line in a 4 inch scale they can make more product since it will be cheaper.
plus, isnt Bandai more or less known for making those 4in figures? Ben 10, Power Rangers, now Thundercats
similar to how Hasbro handled the Marvel license. “hey, we are really good at making 3 3/4 figures already, so lets make 3 3/4 Marvel figure”
disclaimer im not saying that Bandai’s 4in offerings are all that good, just that they are familiar with the scale already and probably see a market for them
