I wonder if alot of these people on ebay know that they are ruining the toy(for grading purposes) by opening the box, afa wont grade a opened box regardless of if its been played with or not.
He told me the lowest he would sell is $1900.
why the hell would anyone open a MIB toung a sauras just to prove that the toy is in good shape.

Makes absolutely no sense to open the box if it is ndeed factory sealed on all sides. It just lowers the value so much more IMO. Its amazing how sought after Tongue-a-saurus has become. I managed to get mine for around the same amount that you can get a loose one.
Just this weekend i finally scored a loose Tounge-a-saurus for my collection after looking (and being outbid on Ebay for one) for years. It ran me $400, but lucky enough the seller was in my home town and only a 15 minute drive away so I was able to pick it up. Pretty stoked about finally scoring the toy, though wish I would’ve gotten him years ago as it would have saved some $$$

$400??? Holy cow is that how much theyre going for loose nowadays??? I have one in the box minus the inserts and repro instructions and that ran me for $350 about 2-3 years ago. Theyre tough to get with the box. Hell it took me almost 4 years to find a Luna Lasher Mumm-Ra with only the headdress and no other accesories and its only loose and that ran me for $200. Thundercats are just so expensive…anyways congrats on the find, just dont play with it or you can risk breaking the tongue
There is one on ebay now but the seller says the tongue is broke, I have never seen one in person. Do you guys that own one think this is something that could be fixed?

Most definititely fixable, Id say go for it. You may get it for cheaper since some people may be put off by it being broken
I think this is somewhat on the higher end for a loose one. They seem to have at least doubled in price since a few years ago. Though the seller was in my home town so I didn’t have to pay any shipping or custom charges.
The one with the broken sections on the tounge ended up selling for $275
I think $400.00 is about right for a loose one, I was thinking about bidding on the broke one. I would have gave 200 for it but not 275.
i got mine a few years ago for like 200 i think, i can’t remember for sure it’s been so long ago though. one of my favorite pieces by far.

is anyone else afraid to mess with it though? i wouldn’t want the tongue to break, haven’t really examined what the “string” piece is made of, let’s hope it’s not made of whatever the Stinger’s wings are made of.
