Took a chance on ebay…Part 1 ::UPDATE::

Took a HUGE risk/chance on ebay last night. I won 3 auctions from a reputable seller who said they had 8 back figures of Lion-O, Jackalman, and SSSlithe. Only problem was there was no pictures but the seller claimed them to be about a c-7. Hopefully it’s amazing and I cry when I open lion-o, considering what I paid. We’ll have to see, and i’ll post pics when I get them.

I emailed the guy twice about posting pics and also if the Lion-O was orange or red and never got a response, seemed a bit off to me. Hopefully it is a good deal for you.

Hopefully they are in nice condition.

While you can’t do much during the shipping process, take care when handling them once they arrive as the bubbles on 8 backs are notoriously delicate.

Knew it was too good to be true, seller had this to say;

hi,
i have emailed you twice about this auction with no response. i was selling these 3 figures for an unemployed friend. he did not provide me with the figures just telling me what he had, alas no photos for the figures. anyway, he brught me the other 2 figures you won and decided to keep the lion-o figure. this makes me angry and makes look bad to you. do you still want the other 2 figures you won? or a complete refund? refund on just lion-o? let me know. mark

I replied with just give me a refund that this has gone on too long. The seller’s name on ebay is elmako87 please if anyone bid on his auctions beware.

I don’t see the links to the pics either.

In this day in age you have to be very weary of auctions with no pics. What one person deems a c8 another deems a c5. Also, with 8 Backs, you definitely want to see pics of the items as these are very fragile pieces, more specifically, the bubbles.

shame as I saw it as well and he wouldnt send me any pics so I decided not to go for it.

It seems though that we are all going for the same/similar items and it seems as though the prices are going up for the MOC’s-dont know if that is a good thing or a day thing(if your still collecting though?)

Hope you get all your money back and I wonder if they will re-appear on ebay soon?

see atleast you know the guy im talking about, do a search for him on ebay and you’ll see he has other Thundercats figures that are in poor poor condition and he wants outrageous prices for them, plus he claims everything is an 8 back which I looked at his stuff it’s not. Maybe i’ll have luck at comic con next weekend, being i’ve never been to one and dont know what to expect.
