I don’t know if everyone here remembers Tim (Tilley), but he used to work with us on the site when we first launched. I follow him on Twitter and just wanted to relay that he’s fallen on rough times and he’s about to lose his house at the end of the month if he cannot raise $500 by May 1st.
Tim was a great guy and I had nothing against him, and I know we all liked him as well. If you guys are interested in helping him out, here’s the link with all his information:

I feel badly that Tim is struggling and I remember him from when we got started here on the site. I sent two donations to Steven Perry when he fell on hard times, sucks that friends of this site seem to be among those hard hit by this depression.
I’ve read all of Tim’s posts and man, talk about a run of bad luck.
What I don’t understand I guess is why Tim can’t lean on his parents or other family / friends and live with them, he’s talking about living in a motel or a shelter. But isn’t this what family is for? Yes it sucks to have to ask your parents to take you in, but what kind of parents would they be if they didn’t at least offer him the couch in the living room?
I don’t own my own home, because I don’t believe that the Canadian Government (or the US for that matter) actually allow true land / home ownership. If you have to pay property taxes and apply for a permit to modify your home, you sure as hell don’t own it. I’d rather rent and let the owner waste money on taxes and mortgage interest.
