So, if you may or may not know, there’ve been talks between Hasbro and Mattel of a possible merger. This has people, especially fans of both companies, talking. If Hasbro and Mattel merge, what will it mean for their brands, and what will it mean for Mattel’s upcoming ThunderCats Classics line?
Well, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Looks like it. 
I can see a lot of good things coming from the merger. Finally some decent DC figures to display with Marvel Legends. They could even make use of Hasbro’s better variety of bodies.
As far as Thundercats are concerned it would be awesome IMO if Hasbro was in charge of Thundercats as they know what they are doing. We might even get a proper Classics line instead of a MOTUC clone line…and best of all maybe even available in shops with no subscription method. :rolleyes:

It would as Mattel has not been able to keep a successful toyline on store shelves in years.

Indeed, but regardless of all the jokes, Disney was the best thing that happened to Marvel and the Star Wars Rebels cartoon is very good. The Force Awakens movie however…is rubbish. A Disney produced Thundercast cartoon could be amazing.

Provided that Disney asks Warner Bros. for permission to license the ThunderCats brand.

After the 2011 series and the way they have handled the licence since they got it, anyone else could do something better with it.
