Hey dunno if any of you have joined a TCats group on Facebook but there is a fairly big groundswell for one group that now has over 4000 members!
I’ve contacted the creator of that group to see if we can “take it over” to promote the site but I just learned that as soon as a group goes over 1000 members, the admin loses the ability to message members directly… so I’ve gone ahead and created a group for the site. I think this is a cheap and easy way to build awareness of our site and the group format is customizable and allows members to easily post photos and discussions.
As soon as you guys start joining I’ll make you each admin on the group.
As it is brand new it will really need a push to get a base of members in, so I was hoping to get all of us team members inviting our friends… or at a minimum, each of us joining.
If you’re still living in the dark ages and haven’t joined facebook… go get started!

If you do this for myspace, let me know. I’m one of those in the dark ages and don’t have a facebook (er, I don’t think, but if I can’t remember that can’t be a good sign lol) so I’m afraid I’d have no friends/traffic to drive your way by joining now.
Cmon Purrsia, sign up this thing is WAY better than MySpace and I’ll bet you when you get started you’ll be AMAZED at how many of your old friends / contacts are on this thing.
I was the biggest refuser to join this thing but eventually buckled and was SO pleasantly surprised by how many people are on here and how easy it is to use.

I’ve heard it mentioned a couple of times but really have no idea what it is - Mark, can you provide me with an idiot guide (because I am an idiot! ) of what Facebook is, how you use it and (most importantly) how I can represent TCL on there? Sign up for an account, add your friends in the step by step instructions… then do a search for the ThunderCats Lair group (under groups → search groups)
It’ll all become plainly obvious as you start moving through. Very cool system btw.
And Neil, MannyC and Kyle and I are all in there waiting for you guys…
hehe, I barely remember to go check myspace for messages and stuff…I need to join another site like I need an extra orifice. At least myspace helped me reconnect with many an old school chum, so it was good for something Thanks anyway.
Honestly Mark I dont see a point to face book. Its like email and im cept not instant. If these people from highshool actually wanted to talk to you they would have stayed in touch. I feel like its forcing someone who wouldnt actually want anything to do with you normally to talk to you so they have more “friends”. Its like a frat you dont pay to get into
Please show me how Im wrong and sell me on this, as people have tried to get me to sign up before and I told them the same thing. So sell away. If your a great seller I will sign up for no reason except to help the site.
Matt, I was of completely the same opinion as you … guess all I’ll say is that it can’t hurt to try, and if it does help the site then great… if not … ah well we lose nothing. If you choose not to join I’d have no problem with that.
Can’t see this ever being something that I use on a regular basis, but primarily so that I could ogle the photos of all the amazing hot-looking women who’ve signed up to it I do now have a Facebook account - I’m “Chris Davis” over there, mainly because that’s my name!
