Except Marianne…jeez all she seems to do is ***** and complain. I didnt care much about the awards of years past because they really didnt mean anything due to the lack of participation and because it was based out of Yahoo groups (which i totally despise).
With the changes though I think the awards were given a new meaning and the interest was certainly there. Great job everyone

Can a separate page be made on the main site to display all awards. Perhaps under the Community Page?
good idea Manny, I think we could do something like that. I’ve decided to stop screwing up all the pages I change with my own updates but if anybody else has the time to move our awards somewhere to the community page?

Quick question about what we should do with the Mumm-Ra statue. A few ideas occurred to me. We could list it for sale on ebay and likely make $150 to $170 on it, and use that money to pay for hosting or other costs associated with the site. As you know, a few of us have dipped into our own pockets to fund the site and it may be nice to avoid needing to do this. I’m working on a plan to see if we can get some advertising revenue for the same purpose but there are no guarantees that this will happen. So this option may be worth keeping in mind.
Another option would be to do a random draw between us, the team, and the winner can do whatever they want with it.
Third option would be to give it to a super fan of the site. I was thinking we could say that we’ll give it to the TCL fan who is a member of our forums, member of our facebook page and who follows us on twitter. This would encourage others to sign up on all of our social media fronts and push up our web presence.
I’m open to other ideas too… what do you guys think?

It’s ours.. but, also, I wouldn’t pay that amount of money for a statue. However, a free statue? It would stand proudly on my shelf, beaming to my visitors that I’m a Thunderian-Cataholic. Would it matter that I’d be shunned from society? Hell no, it’s a Mumm-Ra statue!
What does everyone else think?

To be honest, I’m pretty laid back about what we use it for - the one comment I’d make is that we’re the ones who have done the hard work to get all these wins for the site, so I think that either we (as individuals) or the site should benefit in some way. 
So, you could do a random drawing, with the statue going to one of the team - or perhaps, going to the team member who won the Golden Post award!! (Only joking!!) 
As you rightly say, the other thing you could do is sell the statue on eBay to help pay for the site’s hosting, etc. - I’m aware that at least a couple of members of the team have forked out a lot of money to keep this site online over the years, so in a way it would be nice if this site could pay for itself for a while.
The only additional suggestion I could make as another way of approaching it is that you could sell the statue on eBay or somewhere and divide the profit up equally between the members of the team - effectively giving all of the team something out of it, rather than just one team member who’s drawn at random. However, this would raise an ethical issue, given that the site has won these awards as a whole rather than individual areas of it, and there’s content on here that’s been contributed by past team members such as Martin, Celesta and Angie.
So, to summarise - I’m easy with whatever the majority wants to go for, but would like to see it benefit this site and/or this site’s team in some way, rather than being used as a giveaway.

As for the statue, I’d say sell it on Ebay and then use the funds to pay for site hosting. That way all members past and present benefit as their work will stay online
