Just got an email notification from HMV that my DVD set has shipped! Hoping I get it by saturday or on monday at the latest.
Once it arrives I’ll be sure to post a review up here! 
I’ll be interested to find out what the differences, if any, are included in the UK set.
Any luck in receiving the set yet? if so, any thoughts? does it skip on the first episode too like the Reg1 discs? any cover art on the individual discs besides the tcats symbol? back of box art etc?
Arggh! sorry meant to post here earlier. I did indeed receive the set and I’ve watched the first 2 discs so far. I do plan on putting up a review of the set once I’ve totally finished the set.
However in the meantime, I can confirm that Exodus plays with no problems at all! No jumps/glitches at all. The title cards on all 33 episodes in this set are also present as well. I’m told that the episodes The Unholy Alliance, Berbils, The Thunder-Cutter and Dimension Doom had them missing on the region 1 set 
So it’s pretty obvious Warner have used different masters for the region 2 set, possibly PAL masters.
The cover art on the disc cases is exactly the same as the art used on the R1 cases. However the cases used are the slimline ones that are about half the thickness of the usual amaray ones. The back of the box has Lion-o holding the Sword of Omens in a very cartoonish type art. It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s the same art as the back of box, on the R1 set.
Like I said, I’ve watched the first 12 episodes so far. They play without a problem. I’ll give my thoughts and probably takes some pics when I post up the review.

Yep, it is - I purchased my copy of the set a couple of days ago, although haven’t watched any of the discs as I want to finish my US Season 2 Volume 2 set before going back to the beginning of the series!

Slimline?!
Hey! It’s great that you guys got slimline cases. I think they look cooler… Anything else in particular that are different?
Isn’t it lame that they didn’t even put new artwork on the set, I mean usually that’s something unique about the different regions is they get something different from the R1 releases etc..

I know what you mean - but, the only thing I’d say is that it sounds like WB did change the most important thing with the set, they used better quality masters!

Well they definately are not cleaned up, so nobody go thinking that! However you will find that PAL masters will always look better than NTSC has the colours are always brighter and crisper. It’s down to PAL using more lines of colour than NTSC does I believe.
But Chris does have a point seeing as there is no picture jumps in the episodes (like in the R1 version of Exodus)
Plus all 33 episodes have the title cards intact as well.

Yep, you’re correct Neil, and I probably should have been clearer in my post! I was basically talking about the absence of the picture jump in “Exodus” and the title cards being intact for all episodes - however, the fact that the episodes are in PAL quality also makes a big difference!
