I’ve been playing around at securing a decent domain name for a side business that I am thinking about starting. As I goofed around I stumbled across the fact that thundercats.tv was available.
So I grabbed and put up a referring link on it to help drive up traffic to TCL
I’ve read that the .tv domains are very hard to hang on to when the company that legitimately owns the rights to a property wants the URL. So I’ve decided to just use the domain for referring traffic for now and will spend more time figuring out if there’s another way that we could use this in the future.
But I thought it was pretty cool to get such a solid domain name that hadn’t been booked already.
I think i saw that a while back, isnt the domain pretty expensive to keep. However I think it is great to have that domain. Hopefully WB wont try to take it away from you as they technically could do so because they own the rights to it. It could work in our favor too because WB might work something out like it was done with he-man.org where they were able to keep the domain.
I think though that rather than have the page as it is set up right now that you should do a redirect as I have done with www.thundercatsonline.com in which it basically redirects everything to ThunderCatsLair.
I apologise, I should have responded to this thread eons ago - well done Mark for securing such an awesome domain, at this rate TCL will soon rule the Internet for ThunderCats!
