Has anyone spotted any trails or anything yet on the UK Cartoon Network? We have about a month to go and wondered if they had started making people aware over here on the channel about the show?
I haven’t noticed anything yet, but to be fair, I’m not a big watcher of Cartoon Network. I catch the odd Batman the brave and the bold and Star Wars the clone wars on it but I only mostly have it on when my nephew comes to stay as he watches it quite abit. I will be watching Thundercats when it airs though for sure.
He fan is your best bet. Posted about the uk premier being shown in a cinema on, I think, Friday. Shouldn’t be too long before we’re seeing adverta etc.

ThunderCats, one of the most beloved cartoons of the 1980s, returns to UK TV next month on Cartoon Network UK - and, as we previously reported, a new comic from Panini UK will follow, although no release date for this has yet been announced.
Launching on Saturday 10th September at 11.00am on Cartoon Network, with a new episode every Saturday, the new Thundercats is a “reimagining” of the iconic animated series on Cartoon Network.
Set as an epic tale, the much anticipated return of ThunderCats tells the story of a hero’s journey to fulfill his ultimate destiny, starting with the story’s origin of Prince Lion-O’s ascension to the throne.
On Third Earth, the kingdom of Thundera is being threatened by the evil sorcerer Mumm-Ra, and Lion-O, the young heir to the throne, embarks on a great quest to take his rightful place as king. The unlikely champion must work with his faithful comrades Tygra, Cheetara, Panthro, WilyKit, WilyKat, and his loyal pet, Snarf to save their world from darkness. As the forces of good and evil battle each other in the quest for the fabled Stones of Power, Lion-O and his champions learn valuable lessons of loyalty, honour and mortality.
Cartoon Network says ThunderCats will appeal to viewers who have loved the characters all their lives as well as young newcomers to the franchise.
Panini UK announced they had secured the rights to publish a licensed Thundercats in May, shortly after news broke that they would no longer originate Marvel superhero comic strip.
Thundercats has a proud history as a comic in the UK - Marvel UK published 129 issues of a regular title based on the original 1980s animated show. To date, it is the longest-running comic associated with the franchise and included work by artists such as Tim Perkins and Martin Griffiths.
Other tie-in merchandise includes an action figure range from Bandai, kids’ apparel, watches and bags (see news story).
I was flicking through the kids channels the other day and saw a trailer on Cartoon Network for ThunderCats 
Anyway looking forward to it this saturday morning! It’s gonna be like saturday mornings all over again like in the 80’s when I’d watch ThunderCats on Going Live! 
Hard to believe in this age of instant communication that folks on the other side of the pond haven’t seen this yet. Except possibly on the web.
If CN has a channel in the UK, I don’t understand why the show wouldn’t have debuted there the same time as in the US. 
Legalities probably. Licensing issues. Copyrites. They might have to go through different rating systems than the US and have to be approved by the censors. Maybe they had other shows that had contracts to run a certain amount of time and they couldn’t take them off the air sooner. Who knows? I honestly don’t. But the point is there could be all kinds of issues that we don’t know about. I’m sure it’s not a case of just being able to send a dvd over through the mail or anything simple like that.

I had a e-mail from Panini Comics this morning to say that they will be releasing the magazine some time in the new year.
What magazine? A Thundercats magazine?
I think they mean comic, but have called it a magazine
Was ThunderCats on today? My box didn’t record it and it’s not showing up on the guide.. something called Hero Factory on in the timeslot.
It was on today, I double checked to see if it was still in my planner after Cartoon Network HD launched on Sky earlier in the week. It wasn’t, so I had to set that up again. A bit miffed there is no series link for Thundercats.
Is there anyway to find out how well it did in the ratings over there?
There is, but I think you have to pay to access those stats… we generally only hear about viewer ratings for the mainstream TV channels.
Anyway, did anyone miss ThunderCats this morning? They seem to have had a Ben10 marathon during ThunderCats regular morning time slot… However according to the Sky Guide, it is on tonight at 7pm, but the synopsis says its “Omens Part 1” 
Guess we are now on a break from new episodes… though they could have aired episodes 7 and 8!

Can someone tell me what episode we are up to here in the UK, I have had some visitors the last couple of weeks and haven’t been able to keep up with the show. I have seen some of the episodes that have aired in the US already, so just curious as to where we are in the UK
