This was a concern for Matt and I think others as well. I have come up with the following watermarks which if approved will be consistent thruought the scripts we will be showing. Here is what i came up with.
As you may notice there is the ever noticeable diagonal watermark as well as 2 “hidden” watermarks shown on the top left and bottom right. If this format is ok I’ll go ahead and use it. For reference I used comic sans for the big watermark @ 23% opacity and times arial for the smaller watermarks.
You know, asshats on ebay running off copies and reselling the studio scripts was one thing I didn’t think about when offering my own for download. Hmmm, I might have to rethink that and watermark those. It’s more work, but I’d hate for someone to get ripped off buying what is really a copy.
Its only safety and to think that someone made money off of something you bought it is just maddening. Yes the watermarks somewhat get in the way or are an eye sore at times but thats the price one has to pay if you want to see such “exclusive” content

I’m used to seeing wallpapers and other things on bootleg shirts on ebay…but you can’t really watermark that and still have it useable. The only thing I’ve ever watermarked in an obnoxious fashion was the French Encyclopedia book when I first put it up a few years ago just because it did cost a lot to win and I couldn’t bear the thought of the images from it being used on all that stuff for profit.
It’s an irritating problem and one I hadn’t thought about from every angle until I was well into posting things up - if I were to go back and do it all now, it’d take a few eons more than forever. Smart of you to do it as you go.
Btw, what do you use to watermark? Something like Photoshop or a watermarking program? Just curious.
Youre very right about the shirts and other printed things. As a matter of fact the image shown on top of every page on the main page with Lion O I have seen it used before and people are making prints and profitting from it. Unless they used the original owners permition I would classify that as infringing on copyright issues or something to that extent. As far as watermark program I have tried Photoshop but i find it easier to use a program I have called uMark Proffessional. It costs me like 10 dollars for the licence and you can do just about anything youi need and on top of that you can do batch watermarking and not having to do them one by one. If you need any watermarks let me know and I can basically do multiple pages on the click of one button. They will all show up on the same area you specified and its very useful for things like where you may have to put “hidden” watermarks
Manny I think that will be fine. I dont want them to be too obnoxious while reading the scripts. I think that these will work nicely. Good job and thanks
Very cool, I will watermark all future scripts with this standard format. Very soon I shall have The Astral Prison (Episode 31) uploaded as well as any other ones I do. I’ll notify on this thread or post a new thread when I upload it. Either way everyone will know
