To be honest if they do re-design everything and I don’t end up liking it, I won’t mind too much :wink:

Sure it would be a bonus for it to be really cool, but if kids take to it and it also sparks further interest among fans who forgot how much they liked Thundercats and it sends more members our way, I’ll be happy.

I remember when the He-man 2002 line launched and he-man.org got tons more members through their forums! :smiley:

Yes, my fandom will always ultimately be with the original Rankin-Bass series and LJN toys, but a new cartoon and toy line can never take the originals away from me. They can only add to my interest or make it remain the same as it is now.

So even if I hate the re-vamp, I’ll still welcome it as part of this site for reasons I said above.

The only way I will like the re-vamp, is if they do not
market it to a younger audience on purpose.

I think 13 and up is reasonable, but the ten and under
marketing may help seal it’s demise. a show based on
a previous show that is 20 or so years old should
be marketed to older viewers.

After all the kids today were not old enough to remember
the original series, then again there are the DVDs.
Though they are so used to Japanese Anime invasion that
they don’t even know what I like to call real classic animation.

Animation that was all done by hand without the aid of
computers, animation that focused on story telling rather
than marketing.

I pray for a re-make rather than a re-vamp, I just know
how WB works and expect a re-vamp.
