Does anybody know what the Tcats profiles were part of?
They weren’t on the DVDs and I can’t remember ever seeing them anywhere else but on Cartoon Network as bumpers.
If I could screen cap my VHS tapes, I’d do it. Sadly I’m taking video and stills of it in front of the TV for crappy archival purposes - better than nothing I guess…
Anyone know where I could get any stills or video of the ThunderCats profiles, or at least know if they were aired on TV at any point back in the 80s?

Yeah, I know the ones you mean - they used to air on Toonami as commercial bumpers between act 1 and act 2, etc. Living in the UK I only ever saw a couple of them, on VHS tapes of the Cartoon Network broadcasts sent to me from the US, but I do know the ones!
I’d love to have a record of all the info in them, they’d make an interesting feature - I’d also love to know where Cartoon Network actually got their information from!
Really? Everything was CN invented? The way they looked (the profiles themselve - the info & the text, not the audio/video/music that accompanied them), they seemed “old” like they were created in the 80s

ThunderWolf’s site has all the text from all of them - but he made up the info for Kat, Kit (individually) and the new T’Cats, cause they never had profiles.
Well, I don’t know for sure it was all CN conjecture. It’s just, now as the years have gone on and some sites have collected and shown a lot of production material, those stats have not shown up there to back it up. So I tend to assume they created those spots as a fun promo.
Unless that info is in some of the Japanese writings on some of the production items, although I can’t see CN taking the time to translate that and share it with us
Be interesting to find out the story behind those spots.
It would also be interesting to discover how closely (or not) the Cartoon Network profiles’ info matches the fact files printed by Marvel in the UK ThunderCats comic!
At some point, I’m hopeful of showcasing those fact files here on ThunderCats Lair in all their illustrated glory! I’ve no idea when it will happen, as I still need to chase down scans of some of the fact files I don’t have, but one day I’m hopeful all this info will be online at this site!

Sorting them by character is something I was going to do in the upcoming ‘Characters’ section, but as always, not enough time to do so yet. So you’ll have to search by issue for now.

It’s no prob, and I appreciate the linkage. But, if you use anything Spaced Angel was kind enough to donate, give her props as well. I wouldn’t have half the UK issue stuff online if not for her time and generosity!
