How the hell does Susie Grimm (Queen Lynxana on the forums) know that WB have contacted us asking us to take the script down - or, as she puts it, serve us a “C. & D. order”?? 
Sounds to me like either we have a leak on this team, or someone’s trying to stir up trouble for this site.
I don’t like her comments about us being the reason this movie isn’t being made, that’s complete bull**** and frankly I’m sick of her running her mouth on the forums whatever she thinks. I know MannyF would like to ban her, and I could be tempted - but, obviously if we do it over this particular thing we’ll just generate bad press for ourselves.
However, I am going to say I think sometime within the next 24 hours we need to pull the script - if Queen Melodrama has blown the whistle on us receiving a request to take the script down, that now can taint our image if we don’t do it IMO.

No offense, but I think we need to ban her. I don’t care about looking bad. She’s crazy and we don’t need people like her on the forums. As Chris said, if it were my opinion, she would have been gone a long time ago. I know she’s knowledgeable with the comics and whatnot, but it’s not worth it. :mad:

She’s a waste of space in my opinion she left the TC Fandom Awards in a huff over nothing and I know she’s been banned elsewhere before. I don’t think we owe anybody membership here, we are within our rights to ban anyone if we think they disrupt our community.
But I think we’d be wrong to ban her for taking shots at us. Not just because everyone has a right to an opinion but also because i think our community would see us as being overly sensitive to criticism.
She is bound to take another mis-step and when she does I suggest we remove her at that time. Maybe a warning would be in order this time though… what do you guys think?

Mark has completely echoed my own concerns about banning her over this specific issue - my worry is that it would make us look overly sensitive to criticism as Mark says, and also that she could then post on other TCats message boards (the ones she hasn’t already been banned from already) that she was banned from this site because of us wanting to “censor her right to free speech” or something. 
However, I agree that she’s a pain in the you-know-where, and I definitely agree to ban her if we get another excuse to do so, even if it’s a reasonably minor outburst - if she feels it’s unfair, we can say that we feel it’s the latest in a long line of outbursts and it’s a disruption to the community.
I actually don’t dislike her as much as some, I actually feel sorry for her in some ways - she’s made a complete mess of her life and is basically a lonely drunk. However, her behaviour on these and other forums is not acceptable, and the causes of that behaviour aren’t our problem…
As to whether to give her a warning - I’d say yeah, go ahead. Say that we aren’t averse to criticism if we feel it’s warranted, but that what we don’t like is her melodramatic, disruptive behaviour, this isn’t an isolated incident and has already received one warning for posting a picture of herself giving us (the webmasters at TCL) “the finger”. Maybe consider telling her that if she steps over the line again, she’s out of here. ( )

Guys I’m gonna be blunt here and this might upset a few apple carts…
However:
The parts I highlighted comes across as very unprofessional and is just what QL would have hoped for. When dealing with this kinda situation personal feelings must be cast aside. I know posts then come across as very ‘clerical’ and ‘matter of fact’ but in this situation that is what is needed.
I’ve posted a reply in the thread that I hope does some damage control and makes us sound a little more professional.
As for banning QL, I feel that would be a bad move as she hasn’t broken any rules in her posts (unless some of it was edited by a mod?) Our members are not stupid and will come to their own conclusions about this incident. QL is entitled to an opinion on us and until she gets personal in her rants she isn’t doing any harm. We are like marmite, not everyone will love us.

I don’t think this is the first incident she’s caused problems on our forums though. She’s only been quiet because we were sympathetic (and for good reason) due to the death of her father. I think I agree with Chris that I feel sorry for her more than I am ****ed off, but I think we could do without people like her.
Then again, I wear my emotion on my sleeves, so I may not be the right person to deal with in regards to her behavior.
Well ill take a consensus on the banning. My decision is for a 2 week ban for disruptive behavior, however if you guys do not think this is suitable then i will give her a warning with next time being a ban. She clearly bad mouthed everyone on the website and what we have worked so hard for and im not gonna put up with it. Like Manny said we could do without her. This aint a free speech forum…
I think you had the best intentions of the site Manny. We are very protective of the site, so it’s understandable to react the way you did. We don’t need to point fingers at each other; QL is at fault, we just need to set aside our emotions and deal with things rationally.
Of course. But we will always get individuals that will react to us in this way. You really can’t let them **** you off as they will always come and go in one form or another.
I’d keep the ban as it looks worse to back track. MannyR, just make sure you have the reasons for the ban set out when she is allowed back.

I do agree with this.. as much as it really pains me to do so. The thing that really grinds me about her is her conduct with other members - she doesn’t know how to express an opinion without irritating others. It’s juvenile and really aggrivating - but banning her outright is going to send the wrong message. Warn her about the way she speaks to other members but keep it at that - knowing her, she’ll be mad enough to spark something again.

Okay well the decision was made and Manny is one of our moderators so we now need to all support his decision for a two week ban.
It is also important that we don’t respond to or explain our actions to anybody other than QL. Let’s not get into debates with others about our actions but if QL wants to know why we banned her we can explain that it was a temporary ban because we’re tired of her disruptions and negativity.
That she is welcome back after two weeks but that we’re expecting her to either have fun here by being positive or to have fun somewhere else by being negative. Not just about the site which she is welcome to criticize constructively, but also to other fans who post here.
And if she decides to say something stupid like “This site ruined everything” I think that’ll be the final straw for me.
Neil I appreciate everything you said, I know I lost my cool but she was WAY out of line and it’s not the first time. I don’t agree that everyone has unlimited rights to speak their opinions here if their opinions are constantly annoying or negative. After all we built this to be a fun place and I don’t mind kicking out the occasional person who wrecks the fun.

I actually read the unmodded version of her post since and I definately support this ban! The way she is talking to Mark is very menacing. Why she couldn’t just say she thought it was wrong for Mark to put the script up is beyond me?

I know she was out of line, but the reaction she got was just what she wanted. You guys are better than that.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion if made constructively. There are a lot of annoying and negative people on he-man.org but banning them permanantly isn’t always the answer.
After some thought this afternoon I agree Manny was spot on with his decision, as 2 weeks gives QL some time to cool down. Hopefully she will come back with a better attitude or if she doesn’t come back at all it isn’t such a big loss.

I actually didn’t realise that there was an “unmodded” version of QL’s post - where she made threatening moves and talked about punching Mark, with bad language and whatnot - I’m actually not sure we haven’t been too light on her!
So yeah, having now read that original post, I think a temporary ban was the least she was asking for - so well done MannyC for taking that action!
Knowing QL as I do, I imagine she was probably drunk when she made that post - which is no excuse, but knowing that she’s an alcoholic, most of the ******** she posts on TCats message boards are when she’s off her face.
Hopefully when she comes back she’ll have a different attitude - if not, I’d just show her the exit sign.
