I’m not sure if I’m in the right forum area. Knowing the types of most people here have a tendency to enjoy logical things, I thought I would introduce something I’m somewhat familiar with called the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI.) What this is something used in most companies used to figure out how you think, act, feel and analyze people and things or what job/career is right for you. We do this on typology sites by typing characters from anime, movies, celebrities, and stories for fun. It’s hilarious at times how people get into battles about loops and stuff. It’s not really that cool until you can learn a little bit more on these sites, but I got the ones that are fairly simple to understand.

There is another thing to help figure out what type is what, but that requires a lot of research. They’re called cognitive functions. When in doubt, look at what cognitive functions a person (or character) uses.

I always wanted to try and type the Thundercats using MBTI, but it never caught on on other sites because not very many knew enough about it. So, I say I’ll do it on here and hope for some bait that someone will know a little more about this stuff than I do.

Snarf: ISTP
Pumyra: INFJ
The rest of them in the OS I vaguely remember to even type them
But I think Panthro is an INTJ?

Lion-o: ENFP (The lonely only TC uses Ne and Fi as his dominant functions, which explains why I like this Lion-o; he thinks outside the box)
Tygra: ISTJ (The shadow type to Lion-o’s I believe they use…Si and Te)
Cheetara: ISFJ (I was hoping if she got her Sixth Sense, I could call her an INFJ)
Panthro: ISTP
Wily Kit: ISFP or INFP (I’m not too sure since I never recall twins having the same personality type)
Wily Kat: ISFP
Mummra: ENTJ
Pumyra: ESFJ or a ESFP

Anyone wanna take a crack at this?

I have Tygra in my fan fic as an INFJ, who has to function as an ISTJ to perform his duties. This generates his inner turmoil. But that is just my take. I do think the listing you have of him in the show as ISFJ is spot on.

Are you talking about the old series Tygra, Nine Tiger? If I recall you weren’t like into the New One. I barely remembered him because…y’know…he was “invisible.” It seems like it is plausible he was INFJ in the Old Series (even though I don’t remember him.) But I think you misread the lines because I had New Series Cheetara as an ISFJ. I have Tygra as ISTJ, yes. I still typed him as such mainly because at the beginning (and even though in “Native Son” and the TyChee episodes of his past, he did show levels of Fi, which is possibly well-developed) he was such a jealous bully towards Lion-o. The usual type for bullying in the real world is either an ESTJ or an ESFJ. So, Tygra is like a perfectionistic barking dog smack talking/scolding Lion-o.

Do you think it’s possible to put a borderline “P” in there? I read through the book “LifeTypes” and Tygra does seem to sort of make decisions with his heart from time to time. Not disagreeing with either one of you at all, it just seems that he lets perception rule out Judgment sometimes, and added with Feeling, oh boy.
