Here’s what’s happening in issue #1
Things are coming full circle and it’s only going to get much worse.
Pumyra places Calica under house arrest and has her under 24 surveillance because Calica stole the Eye of Thundera and ran off into the wilderness of third earth. Calica’s actions shattered the team’s trust, making her an immediate security risk to the ThunderCats. Because her mind may be compromised, the ThunderCats—especially an on-guard medic and protector like Pumyra—cannot risk her acting as Mumm-Ra’s puppet again. Keeping her locked down and watched ensures she cannot perform another sabotage.
Unfortunately it will not help her once Lion-O is hit with mystery Omens Meteor and turns him into the feral king. That makes any connection that Calica has with Lion-O has now been permanently served, of course the ThunderCats will probably blame Calica for this as well.
