Something that is a disgrace… Present day Earth and a Rock Band, and they are super heroes and each has an “eye of thundera” weapon. Pathetic…
We haven’t received any information on whether this is true or not. Personally, I sincerely hope it isn’t true.

This sounds exactly the opposite of what I said I wanted in a new series (see this post) It seems so far dettached from the original 
Lets pray it isn’t true…and if it is..it is better than it sounds..
Word on the street is Larry Kenney debunks this article as bogus. Let’s hope WB really isn’t that, eh, dense as to give a premise like that consideration. It is pretty far removed from the original and goes far beyond “updating for a new generation”, after all.
And if not? Oh well, we still got the classic show! They can’t take that from us

Speaking for Fuzzy and myself here - if there is some truth behind this article and this farce of a Thundercats cartoon comes into being, we’ll be fair and still give it a shot, despite the severe out of character-ness and such. You can’t honestly say something sucks until you give it a chance to prove your assumption right.
Hell - I’ve seen the characters treated far worse in fanfics, but people still read and favor them despite the severe out of characterisness, the extreme liberties taken and such - why shouldn’t it be the same with a revised cartoon?

Everyone has their own interpretation of the series. Myself, when I first evaluated the WildStorm comic series, I came to the quick conclusion that this re-interpretation was going to be rather bad. And I said so.. loudly. Of course, quite a few in the Tcats fandom whimpered and snapped that I wasn’t giving it a chance. Possibly, but I know what I like… and the comic series wasn’t it.
So now, it’s time for an animated assault. Ah, I really, really hope it bites as much as the article discribed. I’ll watch, if only to see a super cool train wreck.. and to hear some in the fandom whimper, again. :roll:
When the article mentioned Teen Titans I feel that their might be some truth to this article.
I hope they don’t go forward with this idea.

I’ve got quite a few friends inside wb animation…while they are taking some liberties, that isn’t the direction they’re taking it.
