I spotted a magazine today with Thundercats toys all over the front cover, I only caught a glimpse of it but I think it was called ‘Toy Review’, though maybe it was ‘Toy Fair’. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else had spotted it? I’ll try and get a hold of a copy when I next see it ![]()
Perhaps it was Lee’s Action Figure Toy Review…I happen to have gotten it a few days ago. Does this look familiar? http://www.leestoyreview.com/catalog.asp?SKU=167
Chris here…
Is that magazine new out? If so, IMO a brief plug for that on the front page of this site I think would be cool, like we do for new series rumours and announcements about the DVDs! What do you think, guys? ![]()
Take care… ![]()
Where did you see it Martin? I wouldn’t mind picking up a copy of this mag if it’s available within the UK!
as airmail shipping plus magazine cost from the USA would probably be expensive.
If you find it again, can you tell me how much it was? Thanks!
Yeah that was the one Manny! Lee’s Toy Review.
I spotted it in Forbidden Planet in Birmingham, I don’t think it’s really available anywhere else. If you cant find it Neil let me know and I’ll pick one up for you ![]()
Lee’s is very hard to get and truthfully im kinda shocked you were able to find it in the UK
Can you find out the price first Martin? I have to be cautious when spending at the moment unfortunately.
Chris here…
points at earlier post above Do you guys think the ThunderCats cover story on this magazine might be worth reporting on the front page of this site, and/or starting a thread about on the Toys Board here? ![]()
Take care… ![]()
Neil: Yep, I’ll be sure to find out.
Chris: I think it’d be News worthy, I’d actually meant to mention that in my first post ![]()
I can make a scan and mention it on the front page
Chris here…
Excellent stuff, that sounds brilliant - at the moment toy collectors seem to be our #1 clients on these Boards, so something like that magazine I think would be of particular interest! ![]()
Take care… ![]()
Youre very right, I do want to mention though that my ultimate project would be the ultimate Thundercats Toy Guide but in a published format. I can bet someone out there is taking all our info that we have put online and thinking of this project. With the amount of knowldege that Neil and I have with the toys and the access to information that we have, a published guide would perhaps be the most awesome thing. I know for a fact that there is nothing out there as far as a published guide so this wwould be a breakthrough in the Thundercats Toy community. I believe the only thing that comes close is Lee’s Thundercats Guide and it doesnt ever cover half or even a quarter of what we have put together so far. The problem with a published guide would be coming up with enough money to publish it and distribute it
I finally got round to picking up a copy today(for £3.99). They’ve got a nice looking four page guide to the line, but theres nowhere near as much info as we have on here in there. It wasn’t all that impressive when compared to everything we’ve done, but it was fun to look through ![]()
I know this is old. But I agree with you martin. There was only a 4 page spread and it left so much out. I feel that I could have written a better one.
