After reading in this forum for about a month or so I thought I registered myself and share some of my thoughts about Thundercats.
I am 23 years old and from Germany.
Still remember the first time I saw Thundercats in 1994 on German television. The synch was horrible (of course I did not knew at the age of six :D). They called Lion-O in German “Leo” and Cheetara was called “Geparda”! Kind of funny!
Two years ago I, finally, bought the original series DVD box and enjoyed my childhood favourtie cartoon in all its glory in the original language. I instantly felt in love with Lion-O`s voice and I am so glad that Larry Kenney was back as Claudius.

Now I am very lucky that the new series started off so well and I hope there are a lot of surprises in store for us.

The last time I heard Lion-O`s “German voice” was at the age of 6 and what I can remember it was ok! At that time I was just stunned by the whole series and loved the whole Thundercats thing!
At the last couple of weeks I tried to find any VHS of a German Thundercats version. Because I do not know anymore how the Germans translated “Sight beyond Sight” or Sword of Omens. But it’s really difficult to get anything! Perhaps I may have more luck at the next garage sale in our city!
Fine, as far as I remember. You can actually here all the german voice actors calling their name in the german opening intro. I don’t know why the american/english version hasn’t done it too, it works with the voice overs much better.
Anyway, a “servus” from me too. Never thought that there’re still german fans out there, most of them are just hyping the good old times with yt-comments.
I must say that is the boldest looking avatar I’ve seen. It just catches your attention!
My favorite movie when I was a kid was based off a German Novel. I didn’t know that as a kid. I just knew the American Title, “The Neverending Story.” I always thought Bastian was an odd name but I saw somewhere that it’s more common in Germany.
