After poking around in amazon and wiki, I found that there is such a thing as “Thundercats HO: The Movie” that was for sale.
Apparently it is included in the second Season of Thundercats, but with some scenes deleted/changed.
Since i’ll be Getting the 2nd season sometime soon (hopefully) I was wondering if anyone has any idea aboutthe deleted scenes.
IMO it would be great if they could be included the same way those form Exodus were in the forum.

Well, “ThunderCats Ho! The Movie” was basically cut together from the 5 episodes, also titled “ThunderCats Ho!”, that kicked off the show’s second season. When the 5 episodes were edited together to create the movie, some small scenes were cut to edit the movie down to 90 minutes in length. However, those cut scenes are all present and intact in the 5 stand-alone “ThunderCats Ho!” episodes, and those are what you get when you buy the season 2 DVDs! 
So, basically, the five stand-alone episodes on the DVDs are complete - it’s the “movie” version of “ThunderCats Ho!” that isn’t!
I still have my official UK VHS release of “ThunderCats Ho! The Movie”, although it’s been watched so many times that it has seen better days. For years, for us UK ThunderCats fans that was all we saw of ThunderCats’ season 2, as the BBC never showed past the end of season 1 - it wasn’t until I got onto the Internet in 1998 that I discovered there had been a whole bunch more episodes starring Lynx-O, Ben-Gali and Pumyra!

Seems I got it the other way around. (That’s what I get for speed reading on the net.)
I must say that the full verson of exodus is way better with the missing scenes… In fact it’s like a whole different episode. We see that there are several clans of mutants, that they are in serious trouble (and how it makes sense when Jackleman says there was no time to build the giant Robot - “Return to Thundera”).
Sadly there are no new hitns about the Vultureman mystery…
I agree man - the uncut episode (Exodus) is SOO much better - like a totally different episode!
Please excuse my newbness… But what uncut version? I never heard about this before. Is the version on the DVD release the uncut version, or do I need to go digging for it?

Thanks for the link… I suppose I should spend a little more time exploring this site. I bet there are all sorts of little tib-bits of information I have yet to discover!
I can’t believe they didn’t put this on the DVD; at least as a special feature. I was truly dissapointed with the special featers on the DVD sets as a whole, and to find out that they are sitting on this kind of stuff and didn’t add it in really makes it seem like WB really doesn’t care about this series, or the fans. The MOTU DVDs really put the TC DVD’s to shame when it comes to special features.
They really should have added the “Uncut Pilot” to the DVD’s.
I wonder if they will add it in when they release the Complete Series DVD set.

Well, in fairness to WB, given that they didn’t actually create the series but came to own it through a series of deals, it wouldn’t surprise me if they don’t actually own that footage, as it wouldn’t necessarily have been part of what they purchased when they came to own ThunderCats’ 130 episodes - and, believe it or not, if they don’t own it, they may not legally be able to release it!

That was the only master tape they had to work with. They knew the unedited episode existed. (I read that on someone’s comment - i belive - on an Amazon.com review, copy-pasted from some WB e-mail or statement on the site or something. They wouldn’t re-release a whole series box set JUST for that ONE episode.
It’s readily available on YouTube or P2P if you go searching.
I don’t see what the fuss is about. Unless a show is INSANELY popular, unfortunately studios don’t care.
Only when it’s INCREDIBLY popular do companies create “lost” footage or “alternate” endings. it’s all about money.

Yes I don’t normally promote piracy, but as your never going to see the uncut episode without it. Just get a tcat torrent and set it only to download the first four episodes, which in most torrents are one file that comprises the proper fully pilot episode with the lost intro.
