This might not be quite in the spirit of things, but I was wondering how come Lynx-O, Pumyra, Bengali, and their Berbil rescuers managed to get to Third Earth so quick, when the Thundercats had to go into suspended animation because it took so long to get there?
Or are we to assume that the Berbils knew a direct route whilst the T’Cats ship drifted in space - or did it have no hyperspace drive while the Berbils ship did?
Or should I not take things so seriously?:roll:
PS - does anyone else find Monkian extremely annoying?
Hey Joe, it’s a question that I have heard asked before, and it’s a good question - it was never explained within the series, but once again the UK ThunderCats comic series, published by Marvel, came to the rescue with an explanation, stating that the “New ThunderCats” did indeed have Suspension Capsules on board the Berbils’ ship. In fact, if memory serves, there was even a reference to Lynx-O, Bengali and Pumyra finding them very cramped, because they were built for Berbils!!
Of course it’s worth stating that the stories from the UK comics are not official cartoon “canon” - but, they often come up with some unique explanations for apparent continuity gaffes within the series!
Personally I’ve never found Monkian annoying, in fact he’s a contender for my favourite Mutant! But, I can definitely see how someone could find him annoying!
Ah, I never got the comic so wasn’t aware of that. I suppose they could have gone into suspension, though theres the whole thing about the Berbils wondering if they have enough fuel to reach Third Earth…I think I’m taking it far too seriously.
I don’t know what it is about Monkian that gets on my nerves; the other Mutants don’t bother me. But he doesn’t annoy me as much as Snarf I have to say.
:panthro:I’ve wondered this my self for quite sometime. I’m sure that it wasn’t really thought about much when the writers put it in, but I like the bit from the UK comic. Cannon or not, it is nice to see some loose ends tied up.

So the British T-Cat comics said that Ro-Bear Bert and Ro-Bear Bob had suspension capsules on their space craft? Good, I’m glad somebody offered an explanation. And are you also hinting that this was an adaptation of the movie where they actually had Bengali being Tygra’s kid brother? Oh, if only I could have seen that!
