Well, the awards are in for the 2008 ThunderCats Fandom Awards, it only took them 5 1/2 months, which can’t be bad! 
We did quite well in a lot of the categories, although I have to be honest and say that some of the results are bloody baffling!

Congratulations to Nick for scoring the “Contributor of the Year” award, much deserved for finally kicking down the doors preventing ThunderCats fans from hearing detailed interviews with Lynne Lipton, Peter Newman and (especially) Earle Hyman, scoring an interview there that even Warner Bros didn’t! 
Significantly, we tied with EOT.net for the “Community Award” - a category where, in previous years, I’d have expected us to finish at the bottom. Our forums are doing well compared to other TCats sites, and it reflects in this IMO.
The irony is, we won “Best Maintained” site and yet in recent times updates have been few and far between - likewise, EOT.net and Angie’s site both tied for “Best Layout”, whereas I would have said that’s the area where we beat both of those sites hands down! 
As always, these things are to be taken with a huge pinch of salt, as quite frankly they’re only as good as the people who vote in them - the fact that this site did so well shows that, after 3 1/2 years, folks are finally beginning to accept us, and IMO that’s the overriding (positive) message to take from these results!
