The way I was picturing him he could easily be good friends with Lion-O. I was picturing him as someone who would immediately take a liking to Lion-O and follow him anywhere. I was picturing him in his early 20s rather than 30, but Age can be debatable. I’ve seen 17 year olds that were taller than most adults. Is Lion-O even still 17? A bit of time has passed since the beginning. Maybe he’s 18 now. We could always do a short time skip. But no more than a year cause I hated the 5 year skip in Young Justice.
I completely agree with Gold Lion’s Bengali. I think he should be about Lion-O’s age and I agree Lion-O needs an actual friend.
Yeah, Lion-O’s all alone and needs a real best friend who has his back whenever there’s a battle brewing. Bengali and Lion-O will get along and learn a lot from each other. Since he’s a blacksmith in training, he’ll have to learn a thing, or two, from the others. He’ll, also, get along with the kits because of being childish.
Also, I like the Thor-like Bengali but why not have a Bengali that’s almost Lion-O’s age and is less balk. I like the eyes though. They’re perfect. It gives him a mystical, divine appearance like an avatar to some kind of god. I’m still hoping he might have an accent because that would be cool.
Well it’s going to be a comic. His words will just be text. He can have whatever kind of accent you want to imagine him having. lol
I think maybe we can come to some sort of compromise here. How about this; Bengali is the same age as Lion-O, maybe the same height, but he’s definitely buffer and stockier. Bengali has lived his very peaceful and non-traumatic life learning to be a blacksmith, and he’s very good, BUT he dreams of being a mighty, adventurous warrior like the Bengali balgus has in mind. That is what he will be eventually. Bengali is not a good fighter since he hasn’t been taught any combat, but he is VERY strong and always eager to experience battle. He’s a big, loud, fun guy to be around who likes to fight.

I guess it’s just me, but I always thought Bengali in the NS would be pretty much built like Tygra. I like thebackstory but when it comes down to it I don’t think they need another “strong guy” on the team.
i agree with hammy’s point in that we don’t need another strong guy on the team. there is already panthro, tygra, and at a point cheetara. i like gold lions idea about him being close to lionos age and not an experienced fighter. during the the whole run on the new thundercats series, liono never really had a friend or someone he could really talk to about his problems…well it was cheetara at a point until she and tygra became an item. it will really be a cool idea to have him and liono become best friends and it can make for some interesting stories as well. the writers could even have just the two of them team up for an adventure in a village or town or anywhere.
I hope you dont plan on bringing Lynx-o into the team as well, gonna be a huge boy party if that’s gonna happen, LOL!

Maybe he could be the humour guy? Cause with all the “bigness” he almost feels like a panthro just younger and inexperienced.
I don’t think he’d be stronger than Panthro of course, but more of a middle-heavyweight who’s second strongest, but quicker than Panthro. Besides, we rarely ever actually see Panthro display much strength, and nunchucks rely more or speed and skill than brute force like a hammer. Panthro seems to be driving the tank more often than doing hand-to-hand combat.
But you do have a point, there can’t be too many strong men on the team, but I don’t think two is too much. Because of Bengali’s weapon and profession, it’s kind of expected that he would be stronger than most. Maybe Bengali won’t quite be a strong man, but just a really tough and durable one who isn’t easily hurt? I can imagine his main strategy is to outlast his opponent until he can finish the fight with one really well placed hammer blow. This is opposed to how I see Panthro fighting, by overwhelming opponents with his strength and doing a lot of damage consistently with a flurry of nunchaku blows.
I think it would be neat if Bengali’s hammer had some magic properties, because he’s descended from the forgers of the Sword of Omens and Plundarr, and his lineage knows how to forge magic weapons. The hammer could create shockwaves when it strikes something. Maybe one of his special talents is being able to demolish a vehicle with just one blow, because his knowledge of metal allows him to know exactly where the weak spots are.
I like the idea of Bengali being Lion-O’s age. The young king could use a friend – a REAL friend.
Again I can voluneteer my skills with names, and places and whatever there needs to be.
I think their water ship could be called the RipClaw. (riptide plus claw).

Actually, we probably will have him in the comic, but he’ll be the leader of the refugees in Lion-O’s absence. He’ll eventually join their team but it will be closer to the end of the story (think Zuko joining Team Avatar).
I would love a fun-loving, humorous Bengali. He’d be fun to write for comedic relief moments.
While speculating for the show, I liked the idea of Bengali being sort of a Sokka like character. Emphasis on a sort of. 
On the Topic of Lynx-O: Do you think Panthro would be bitter towards the guy because he got promoted to general while he and Grune didn’t?
That would be reasonable.
I don’t really think so. Panthro probably has a lot of respect for Lynx-O, and he knew that one reason Lynx-O was made general is because he and Grune were being sent on a mission. Grune definitely would though.
…you know, it’s weird that even though they weren’t promoted, Panthro and Grune were still referred to as generals. Is there like two different tiers?
