I still would like a more hotheaded Bengali. I always viewed him as young in the OS and I think the hotheaded personality for him would fit well.

For those who work i think we should get our own place to type as well. Not revealing everything to everyone here cause if that’s done what’s the point? For fans everyone will already know what’s going on. Having our own “work forum” and sharing and looking for ideas here, dumb or good?
I agree that eventually we will need to gradually move away from the forum to our own, more private place to communicate. The social group is a good start, but even that’s still public.
I’m not entirely sure what this thread is about but if it’s about throwing ideas around, i have one regarding Pumyra
For those who still want Pumyion-O to be a go, i see this happening: Lion-O is escorted into a much Darker part of the Astral Plane by a very powerful being named Mumm-Rana and is shown a place where Pumyra’s spirit is apparently being held prisoner. Apparently, Pumyra did feel a certain amount of anger for Lion-O when she died, but it didn’t turn into pure murderous rage until after Mumm-Ra resurrected her. Mumm-Ra knew that somehow, Lion-O would manage to quell Pumyra’s temper so he made sure that Pumyra’s body was completely governed by her rage while any real positive emotions were locked away in the Shadowy realm. And the worst part was, Pumyra’s more pleasant side was given a perfect view of all the vile acts her rage filled body did. Lion-O does manage to free her, but he is still reluctant to help her or trust her, considering all that’s happened already. That’s when Mumm-Ra shows up and proceeds to attack the good guys. Lion-O is quick to assume that this was another set-up but that’s before Evil Pumyra shows up and attacks him. In his defense, Good Pumyra tackles her evil doppelganger and fights her while Lion-O and Mumm-Rana deal with Mumm-Ra. They manage to drive the evil Mummy away and Pumyra (quite literally) over comes her rage and imprisons Evil Pumyra in the Shadowy Realm in her place. When the battle’s finally over, she and Lion-O come closer to each other and hug, to Mumm-Rana’s delight. The three heroes return to the physical world and, a brief talk between the three, Mumm-Rana tells the other Thundercats that there is no reason to talk to Pumyra about what’s already happened (a comment from “The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe” by C.S. Lewis). Naturally, Pumyra feels terrible about what she did, but in a surprising display of understanding and forgiveness, Wilykit takes Pumyra’s hand and smiles at her, as does Wilykat, Tygra, Cheetara and Panthro. Snarf even rubs himself against her legs. Apparently, Pumyra is welcomed back into the group. But Mumm-Rana can sense that something is still wrong and she was right. While Mumm-Ra was defeated and driven back, he states that rescuing Pumyra makes no difference as he still has the Tech Stone and will soon have the final Stone as well. But he does admit that one thing has changed: now, he has a new reason to gain all of the power stones: to destroy Mumm-Rana!
After this, Pumyra’s character would become less of an aggressive Tsundre and more of lamenting, tortured soul who wants to make amends for her betrayal. Even though the other TCats never once stated that she had to.

I have a pretty different idea for Bengali in mind. Working out the concept now. I’ll post when I’m done. Just to throw a different idea in the mix.
So far, I’ve post some OC’s and 2 possible locations. 
sreback, your ideas for Pumyra could work. I think several of us have similar concepts for how that plot will wrap up, which is good. I was actually thinking that Lion-O would help free Pumyra right around the time they find the last stone, as part of a “season finale” sort of thing.
EDIT: Got rid of my extremely detailed plot summary. I’ll repost it at a later time when we’re ready for that level of detail.
That’s good. I’m curious! Bengali needs to fit into the team nicely!
But what I got thinking about is that what would be the cats reaction to see Lynxo again? What was their relationship? We know Panthro and Grune were mentor-kind cats for the two princes, what about Lynxo? I think this is important because if Lynxo’s and Bengali’s personality collides then… well story wise that would be uncomfortable, if you want Lynxo to introduce Bengali to the team.
The idea I had for Pumyra’s redemption is somewhat similar to the ones fr Gold Lion and srebak, but it has a few major changes. Ill write it up later when I have time. (on the staff group page, that is)

Also I’m absolutely with you in this. Decisions are need to be made. Some people will be hurt but if you want everyone to be happy the comic will be crap.
We need writers to make up the main storyline.
No need for details yet, just basic things. Like major plot spots. They should be able to write down each issue’s happening in like 3sentences.
If the plot is built up like that than we can move on and include more writers. to have details, until then, too many people will just make the whole thing crash.
I know it is very hard to be HONEST with yourself, but please try, so if you only have the urge to push this little scene into the plot (because you always wanted to see) and you want to show that character from the OS (or your OC), then, stand back for now, and wait until a main basic plotline is created, and you are called out to.
Alright, I did get carried away with my last post, and I’ve edited out all that stuff. I’ve saved it for when the real work starts.
I’ll tell you right now that I don’t really want anymore people than those we have in the social group, plus HeMan, cofie, piku-chan, and balgus. And that’s already a lot. I think the role of “head writer” should be limited to hammy and I, with a possible third one. Everyone else can help with editing and script writing and general brainstorming. Unfortunately, there does need to be someone in charge of this project.
While I’m going to listen to and consider all opinions and ideas, not everyone can get to make final decisions, and yes, not everyone is going to be pleased. I am the one who originally proposed this fan comic idea, but I don’t want to be selfish and say that only my ideas are best and deserve to be used. I do have something of a creative vision though, and if studying creative media and fiction has taught me anything it’s that while you need to be open to constructive criticism, you need to stick to your vision.
I can promise you though that I will do my best to create as good a comic as I can, one that properly finishes the storyline of the show and one that fans will enjoy reading, even if not everything is what they wanted. I promise that I will not try to force in any extra plot lines or OCs or OS characters or general fanficy stuff I like if it’s detrimental to the main plot.
We already know who we want our artists to be, and if it turns out they need more help we can get it. I don’t think I can make any definite decisions on who is on the staff and what roles they will have without time to think and discuss it. But no matter what we decide, this is still an open forum and people are free to critique any creative decisions.
I just hope Capn’ Cracker can get those interviews out soon so we might have something more to work with. Here’s what I think the main plot will be at a very basic level; the Cats make sure the refugees are okay, they go looking for the next stone, Bengali and Lynx-O join them, they find the Sharks, Pumyra is saved from being controlled and rejoins them, they fight over the last stone and get it before Mumm-Ra and use it to defeat him. I’m not sure what will happen from there, but those are the plot points I think are most likely. I think after the Cats get the last stone, there will be one final battle as Mumm-Ra tries to get the stones from Lion-O.

i came up with my own idea of what bengali might look like in the NS style. i tried to keep him similar to tygras’ appearance but still different in his unique way. so far, i only have four headshots sketches of him. this is just a rough sketch, so the coloring might seem kinda sloppy.
Out of those, I like the first one the most, mainly because that one looks the most distinct when compared to Tygra. I really believe that Bengali needs to look unique and distinctive from the other cats aside from simply being a white tiger. I’d rather he not have that sort of “Wolverine” haircut, since Tygra, WilyKat, and Pumyra already have very similar hairstyles. I’d prefer it long and straight, since only Cheetara has that sort of hair style, and Bengali’s doesn’t even need to be that long, just more like the blacksmith’s hair cut from the flashbacks. I do like that face pattern since it’s unique and similar enough to his OS look.
The top two are awesome, but the bottom two look too young.
i did that because a few pages earlier, there were talks of having him younger than liono. so i tried doing that to see what it looks like.
I’ve done enough on my Bengali concept that I think everyone can see where I’m going with it, even though I haven’t completely finished the picture. I went with a completely different take.
I started thinking two things:
- Why does everyone need a tragic backstory? It seems like every one of the other ThunderCats have one. I pictured him as an adventure loving, larger than life character. Similar to Thor from Avengers (but smarter).
and - Why not make him a year or two older than Tygra? Tygra’s always been the “big brother” of the group. Thought it might be nice to introduce someone who’s what Tygra would be, without the anger and pessimism.
He’s a little bigger than Lion-O and Tygra because, well he’s a blacksmith and he should be top-heavy. But he’s not as big as Panthro or Grune. And I wanted to make sure he didn’t look like a Tygra clone.
Anyway just throwing the concept and idea out there.

Don’t have to use that Hammer concept of course. I just really disliked the look of the hammer the Blacksmith in Legacy had. It was kinda ugly IMO.
i have got to say that your bengali is freaking awesome man. 
i really love the color of his eyes, they make him look mystic in a sense which works for this version. the hammer is badass to me personally, it just needs to be defined a bit.
The only thing i wanna help with are the story, scripts etc cause that’s the only thing i’m good at. As i’ve published my own books now i dont see this as a big problem.

Me and Gold Lion tested this yesterday and it worked out fine, so anyone that feels like they want to come in and either type or talk about the comic only need to follow these steps.

Step three: You will see many rooms with different names, jump into the one with a guy named “Rizefall” (yes that’s me) and we can start chatting in realtime and make us a special room just for this comic on that server.
I have it downloaded. I don’t know if it’s installed. It won’t let me on anything. It may be a firewall. I’m not sure.
