Yeah, it does seem in poor taste now.
My only complaint for the episode is that Mumm-Ra blasts hundreds of birds out of the sky and yet towards the end a random group of Third Earth inhabitants is somehow intimidating to him. He could have easily killed all of them. :rolleyes:

His powers brought her soul back. It was even stated that it was the hate in her heart towards Lion-O that called to Mumm-Ra and that in Pumyra he sensed a kindred spirit of sorts which is exactly why he brought her back.
Face facts Hammy, your girl is Mumm-Ra’s *****cat.
Prediction: she will be “saved” ala Return of the Jedi however that will claim her life. That or she gets fragged by a berbil or snarf.
Technically Storm Charger did that.
They need another season for that to happen and the way this season has gone, I just don’t see that happening.
What I do see is this reboot becoming an example to future generations of how NOT to do things.
From start to finish it was almost as if the TC crew wanted the show to fail.
Does anyone think that what’s left of the city that crashed will be made into Cat’s Lair? That whole scene reminded me of “Exodus” =)
I can see the connection, but I’d rather they settle in the Tower of Omens or rebuild Cats Lair.
Dude we’re more or less on the same page about the screw ups with the show. But much like a Steven Segal movie you enjoy watching it and want it to continue. Remember it’s a kids show its not going to win an Oscar or academy award.
So lets see what Lion-O’s life has been like since the start of the show.

His society was destroyed and his father killed, something that he blames himself for.

His mentor Jaga sacrificed himself for him twice, and now he lives with that guilt.

The first friend he made outside of Thundera, Emrick, died after one day of meeting each other.

The girl he had a crush on passed him over for his older brother, who beats him at everything to begin with.

Uh, he died once. That is probably hard to deal with.

And then his rebound crush turned out to be a servant and lover of the entity that killed his father and started all of this in the first place.

People ..The creators/artists/crew of this show would never sacrifice and work so hard on a project to make it fail. If you want to blame anyone here blame the guys in suites upstairs at warner brothers who seem to not feel this show is “profitable” enough to give the creators of the show the support that it seems it needed…from the podcast that i heard with Dan Norton the production of the thundercats show has been an uphill battle. They did the best they could ..and made this show happen because they believed in it…hopefully a season 2 will happen.
Yeah, things have been rough for the kid. To his credit he’s faced all that adversity and come out a strong leader. I can’t even remember the last time he made a moronic decision.

I gotta agree. It’s been one heck of a donkey show.
With new writers and producers, I’d love to see ThunderCats get another reboot or season continuation.

There had better be some kind of mind control going on between Mumm-Ra and Pumyra. I refuse to believe that Pumyra would willingly work for the creature responsible for destroying her whole civilization just to get revenge on Lion-O. That is my canon, because my heart can’t take the idea that Pumyra, whom I came to love as a character, would really be that rotten. Lion-O needs to get Pumyra back and use his Spirit Stone to revive her and fix whatever curse Mumm-Ra put on her.
She probably doesn’t know Mumm-Ra was involved in the attack. To the average Thunderian it probably just looked like an assault from the lizard army. Word probably got around that the attack was led by Grune, but your average citizen probably didn’t see Mumm-Ra.
I’m sure Mumm-Ra had no trouble convincing her that Grune and the lizards were to blame. When she manned the guns in the finale she certainly had no problem blasting the lizards out of the air.
Well think of it this way. Pumyra is dead and was brought back to life, fueled by hatred, anger, & Mumm-Ra’s magic.
I guess you could argue that it isn’t even really her at this point, but rather a shadow of one part of her.
That could bring another use for the spirit stone. I agree.
