They must have had some, with the Lizards at the very least, possibly the dogs. Otherwise Panthro wouldn’t have been a prisoner of war, or got his experience, or scars.
Technically speaking since Lynx-o was appointed as General of the Armies, a very prestigious position that Grude desperately wanted, he had a higher grade and outranked them both.But as Grune has stressed ‘Lynx-o is less experienced’ and Claudus was aware of that. But he needed his best two men, free of duty charges in order to go on private missions for a much more important goal. I think Cladus did the right thing, even though he couldn’t predict Grune’s treason.
That makes a lot of sense.
Both Grune and Panthro acted like the position Lynxo was given would’ve been a promotion. Claudus came down to tell them they didn’t get the job, but would go on a different mission. If they were above Lynxo they wouldn’t have wanted the job and Grune wouldn’t have been so angry.

Nevertheless they both hold the same rank. It’s like in Transformers Animated with Sentinel and Optimus Prime, both hold the same rank and although one may have a more prestigious position working closely with the head of state and the other was sent to the backwaters of the empire it’s still the same rank and neither can order the other around.

The other weapon she had was a bolas, not a sling. It’s a throwing weapon that’s used to wrap around the opponents legs and trip them. And yeah the ammo for the bow was stones. You can read all that on Dan’s notes on his concept art.
Sorry, I meant bolas, for some reason i was thinking of the OS counterpart. Probably because I was looking through my old toys earlier and was admiring pumyra. Still one of the best LJN figures.

No not quite. A bola is primarily a throwing weapon with weights or balls on the ends of a cord. It can be thrown, and will often wrap around a victim, or it can be used as a bludgeon similar in concept to a nunchucku but without the versatility.
Bolas are used primarily as snares, but a skilled user could also throw them at the victim’s head or neck easily crushing the skull or trachea, respectively. Pumyra uses her bolas properly as a snare in her battle with Lion-O before finishing him off with her bow.

Man, sorry but i disagree on that, on one of my older posts( http://www.thundercatslair.org/forums/showthread.php?t=4201 ) where i reviewed the good Tcats figs from ljn i had named her ‘Elfyra’. I think she bore very little resemblance to the cartoon image, her weapon was terrible and the overall design very poor.
The bola much better and sophisticated weapon than the slingshot she originally had.
Really? Fair enough. I thought she was a great figure. To be honest I thought all the three new thundercats were great figures. I agree her weapon was poor, but so was lynxos. And I don’t think accuracy comes into it if you look at some of the others like mumm ra! Haha!
I just realized, in a way, this episode made a lot of allusions to real life nature

It makes sense why the Dogs would value loyalty, since it’s widely believed that dogs are naturally loyal creatures.

The general relationship between the Cats and the Dogs is understandable. In nature, the two species are generally enemies, but they can be made to get along when put in certain conditions (living with the same owner under the same roof)

Technically, Dobo had a point when he said the Cats had no sense of loyalty. In nature, cats are generally solitary and unless they’re parents, the usually only do things for themselves. True, Lions are the obvious exception, but even then, male lions could care less about their cubs, and if their relationship with hyenas and jackals are any indication, they could also care less about what happens to other animals. Point is, Dobo was right, loyalty is not really a Feline quality.
