I think this is more possible.
I imagine th next scenaro: Tygra finds out he’s the son of a Tiger king, so he’s a real prince like his brother, what he has always wanted, and doubts between fulfilling his wish of being a king or staying with the group under Lion-o’s orders. After some time of conflict, he decides no matter how much of a prince he is, Lion-o is still the Lord of the TCs, all the cats, and decides to stick with him.

P.s complete Tygra fan pedantic behaviour, but I hope he upgrades his whip at the tiger settlement/city and gets the missing 3rd crystal at the end of it! 
How do you really know something “is missing”?
Heres another Tygra Scenario for ya. He finds out his father tried to usurp the throne and was therefor banished from the kingdom of tigers with his family. Later he gave up Tygra to Thundera for a better life. Once Tygra finds this out he doubt weather he truly wants to be king of if it is just some traitors blood in his veins. either way He remembers his Loyalty to Lion-O and Decides to be a comrade rather than a thorn.
What about the possibility of it being vacant? I hope not though. I know it’s a cartoon, but if there really are so few cats then it’s pretty much over for the feline race:(
I’m comfortable with 2011 Tygra’s whip having two crystal tips. 1985 Tygra’s whip had three sphere tips.
I can imagine Tygra conflicted between staying with the Tiger clan or going back with the gang, and a Tiger member telling him “you belong here”, only for Tygra finally replying “No, I belong with them” 
He could not have been necessarily lost, but given up in some kind of agreement to a rival ruling family (Claudus’) after a defeat or through negotiations as a guarantee of future peace. He could be a second or third son, not necessarily the heir.
Knowing there’s a somewhat unknown tiger clan somewhere offers so many possibilities!

Now I know I am just as guilty but aren’t we supposed to be talking about the last episode and not the upcoming episodes??? Just putting it out there.
Just saw Trials part 1. Thought it was a great episode. I was just thinking back to the original trials and Lion-O’s test against Wilykit and Wilykat. I forget exactly what the point was, but I remember that despite being fooled several times, and despite thinking that he was being fooled again, he still went back to check on the twins and wound up saving their lives.
This trial of wits was still good, but I think the lesson was a bit different. Something like- open your eyes, Lion-O! Heehee!
The trial against Cheetara was cool. At first I thought he might get paid a visit by the Petalars in the AP, especially Emeric. I thought he was falling back into that thickly wooded forest that they first met the Petalars in. The prickly vine maze was cool. Made me think of The Shining. http://www.thundercats.ws/images/smilies/smile.gif The whole time I was watching Lion-O run through the maze, I kept thinking, “Climb to the top and run on top of the walls!” Of course, being that the vines were covered in thorns, that probably wouldn’t work either. I liked his solution. Good stuff.
What’s this about Tygra beating Lion-O in the AP? I didn’t see him at all. Was their a trailer for episode 16 or something?
I like that in the real world the Cats were still able to free themselves, even if they didn’t get the sword back. I always hated in the Wildstorm Comics that the Cats pretty much fell apart without Lion-O there to guide them. Same thing always happens in Transformers whenever Optimus Prime dies (which is a lot). The Autobots just go to pieces and can’t barely function without him around. It’s like, these are your elite warriors that you’ve handpicked personally, and they can’t go a day without you to tell them what to do? So sad.
And I did like that despite all their bickering and griping, that both Cheetara and Tygra showed shock and grief right after they thought Lion-O had been pushed to his death. I think they’ll be overjoyed when they see him return. http://www.thundercats.ws/images/smilies/smile.gif
I really felt that they could have spared a few more minutes with Tygra processing his brother’s death…The Lion King did it better with the fall of Mufasa..then again that was a movie and this is a 30 minute tv series on CN ..cant have it all i guess.
Yeah. At least they showed them reacting in some way. All except Panthro. But that doesn’t mean that he felt it any less than the others- just pressed for time, I’m sure. I mean, a guy like Panthro- he’s seen two kings die under his watch now. I’m sure that’s gotta affect him on some level.
That is a major drawback of the short cartoon timeslots I guess. It would be epic if every episode was an hour long, but as you say we can’t have it all! Lol

Exactly, but remember panthro is a soldier and won’t react in the same way to a comrade/friends death. Even if he felt it he wouldn’t show it externally.
Do you really think they have time to cry and mourn someone while their own lives are at stake? It was great they used the time to come up with a plan to survive and later on just running after them so they “can’t win”.
I was suprised that happend, was afraid they would cry the whole episode cause Lion-O passed away.
We’re talking about reaction shots to Lion-O getting pushed off a cliff, not the mourning that takes place after.
Don’t forget it is very hard to mourn someone who you think still might have a chance to be alive. I know in the episode they were all talking like he was dead but really they don’t know for sure. Hence Kit leaving markers behind.
Yes, I know they were brothers in the UK comics, which is why I liked the UK comics better than the old 1980s US ones because the British T-Cat comics actually got around to incorporating the new ThunderCats into them. It was originally conceived to have Tygra and Bengali as true siblings, but the OS writers made Bengali just another Thunderian. I passionately hope the new series does make Bengali and Tygra biological brothers, which should add an extra layer to Tygra’s background story and make it even more interesting.

That’s a very good suggestion, I like it. And maybe Bengali is a second son of this king/ruler of the Tiger Clan, which would play nicely into the “Tygra and Bengali as full brothers” angle.
Agree a few seconds of that would have been nice, but hey we can’t have everything, we’ll just have to imagine!
